Not immune, but measure can be taken with a bit of intelligence.TheBlueNowhere said:K.Reeves right foot said:Maybe I am, maybe not...who knows? How many so called healthy joggers fall down with heart attacks? I am not stupid to think smoking is healthy but I actually think drinking is worse and I hardly ever drink, certainly not to excessive levels.....and why I don't give up? Simple, I enjoy smoking. My teeth are pure white and my fingers are pure and clean. One can smoke and take pride in one's appearance, you used the extreme 'wino' example to quintessentialiseall smokers.
[Is that a word, can quintessential be used as a verb? If not, it is/can now!]
By the way, why would you feel the need to judge a smoker? It's sad that smokers are treated like lepers. I better watch what I say or i'll be banned then my thought provoking and entertaining posts will be gone.....
To appease the mods: I love you man. :] In fact I love everyone.....now for a fag....:]
Yes some healthy peeople have heart attacks, most likely due to genes. I'll reiterate again though, chance. Medicine is hugely based on numbers and chances, more so than most people realise. That healthy jogger might have dropped down 10 years earlier if they weren't healthy and smoked. Smoking is a proven causal link to heart and lung trouble, why people even start is beyond me.
Pure white teeth and clean fingers? So you're completely immune from any nicotine, tobacco or smoke stains then? I enjoy sitting on my arse all day playing Need for Speed and Fifa. I don't most days though because I want to improve my life. It's the same principle with smoking.
Is there nothing you do in your life that increases the chance of decreased lifespan? Nothing? Really?
I repeat what I said earlier, your blatant delight at increased death rates for smokers is perculiar and worrying.
