Not like you to mention smokers and their children in cars De Niro.

I can only speak for 110 but it wouldn't matter if there were 10 stewards. There are a good few hundred blokes smoking in there.

The club should open up an area outside at half time. Then smokers can smoke and non-smokers can stop crying on here.

you know me swp, bluemoons anti smoking campaigner, i love it when smokers get caught and punished, i sit here giggling and thinking ha ha.
as for smoking in cars i would make it a criminal offence, its child abuse to the extreme, poor kids have no say in it.
5years in jail should do it.

100 per cent correct.

Smokers should die...wait a minute...

I would impose season-long bans.

Feel for you blue i really do, its a fucking joke and i hope that those from the club that do read this site, pick up on your post and get it sorted for you but i wont hold my breath.

They wonder why crowds are dwindling......!

But they are not dwindling though are they? We are on course for our highest ever league average attendance.

Look - if a copper tells you to watch the game and stop the banter then you have to stop. At Wolves away, the same thing happened to me, I was bantering with the home fans, things got heated. The cops pulled me out after a similar warning and I manged to talk my way back to my seat after a little chat on the concourse. It is par for the course nowadays. It is not City but the police that make these decisions.

Peter Fletcher is a total ****, i agree but he is ex-GMP and you know what blys in blue are like. Stick together and always make sure that they get their story straight.

He's also a rich cnut. He won the lottery the other year - on top of his police pension!!

Bingo! or full house.

Whatever they say when you fill in your card at Gala.

The thing is not to get caught. Or keep it quiet on here if you do. This thread pops up every couple of months and a quick search would let the miscreants see what they need to do.

-- Wed Mar 02, 2011 1:01 pm --

I was on holiday in Cuba and one of the other guests I got talking to was one of his deputies. A Bolton fan I seem to recall. We were talking about Fletcher and the guy reckoned that he was alright but very old school.

When I mentioned about people being ejected for swearing/smoking etc he said it was a deliberate ploy to throw a few out each game so that the authorities understand that City try and takle a stand against loutish anti-social behavior and smoking in the Stadium.

He said swearing was allowed depending on where you sit and the type of game it was.

Was it you that got pulled out for chucking something back at the Wolves fans that one of them threw?

They are certainly not what they should be, especially in non league games mate and a huge reason behind this apart form the cost issue is the complete lack of any atmosphere at the ground.

Cant sing, cant stand, cant pick your fucking nose for fear of someone here for the " City Matchday Experience " complaining about you.

Soulboy is spot on. The club is busy changing the demographics of the fanbase and many of us long time fans that have grown up with a different view to what terrace culture is all about are now being slowly pushed out.

I know the score, i can either conform and get my jester hat, trumpet and big foam hand with the pointy finger or i can spend my money elsewhere and no, i don't expect that the club will miss me as apart from my season ticket money, i spend fuck all at the match, never have and never will and that is yet another reason for the club to try and get someone else in my seat, someone who wants and is willing to pay for the " City Matchday Experience ".

Pissed off and sad about it but not in the least suprised.

I suspect Fletch has a third nipple, as a result, one guy you don't want to cross, ever!

-- Wed Mar 02, 2011 1:12 pm --

City needed you before, now they don't, that's the harsh reality for the 'working man'.

Attendance for league games may be up but the games that I could have paid for were Europa (poor attendance) and County (poor attendance) the only reason attandance was reasonable was because of the turn out of away fans.

Also attandance for tonights won't be great and this is why I am still getting texts to purchase a ticket.

Agree it's the police who are the problem but it's the clubs responsibility as they employ the police on a match day.

Yes I know we have to have the police to enable the game to go ahead but the club need to evaluate the customers needs and to assess if the environment created on a match day warrants people being ejected for sticking two fingers up or having verbals (good natured) with other fans.

We go to the match realising that part of the experience is the atmosphere and being a part of it, yet IMO the powers that be are reducing the experience.
I am attending a football match and not attending the theatre, cinema or a church (even though I do worship city).

No - mine was for verbals when I was a little agitated. I never throw stuff, it's cowardly and could hit a kid in the eye etc.

I'm with you. I never feel bad either when i hear of joggers/athletes keeling over and having a heart attack before they reach middle age. Proper rib tickler that one.

Next you'll be telling us that no athletes use banned substances when in reality the best performers are upto their eyes in steroids. Literally the case with Ben Johnson.

See, it's easy to make sweeping statements isn't it?

It's no big deal to refrain for an hour or two.
