No chance! The only good thing about that day - 11.5 hours queueing for me, got my ticket at 11-45pm! - was that it didn't piss it down all day. Any hassles now are trivial by comparison.

Superb service wasn't it. I can remember getting to the ticket office window and being asked where I wanted to sit!! Anywhere inside the twin towers would have been good enough for me but I suddenly realised what had been happening all day!!!

I think you should print this off and send copies to The Etihad asking for an explanation. I even think it should get into the papers and then maybe 'our' ticket office should be made to explain such shambles.

Would I be right in guessing that Semi Final tickets have all been sold through an outsourced ticket company and City's Box Office are having nothing to do with them? They would also work in tandem for other matches where you buy in person from City or over the phone from an outsourced call centre?

Exactly this. He is probably one of the crowd that fucked off when Pearce was in charge (I know a few of them) and now they take any bit of bad publicity they can to beat city with it and pretend it was better when we were in the playoff final. Took me less than 5 mins to get 4 tickets, brilliant service, and I suspect it was the same for 99% of online users. I do have sympathy however with the the poster.

i have every sympathy for the OP, but I bought all of my family's tickets by 9.04 on the first day of sale in the exact block i wanted
in 2011 i had to queue for nigh on four hours and then had a major barney as the girl at the window would only sell the block she had in front of her, i told her i wasn't leaving until she got the block that i wanted
so for me this year's process was so much easier

I got my semi final ticket online in 5mins on Wednesday morning.
Ditto. Never had any trouble booking my (& family and friends) tickets on line. I wonder if the OP has a computer spec issue or connection issue - maybe not enough memory or poor broadband connection?
