Would I be right in guessing that Semi Final tickets have all been sold through an outsourced ticket company and City's Box Office are having nothing to do with them? They would also work in tandem for other matches where you buy in person from City or over the phone from an outsourced call centre?

yes all the tickets have been dispatched from the ticket agency in nottingham... had ours delivered thursday and you did't get the 'Normal' letter that comes on MCFC headed paper..
just some receipt from the agency etc..

Advice for the OP.

May i suggest you leave for Wembley a week before, just to ensure you get there on time! Seems to me you are VERY unlucky as the service at the ticket office is sooooo much better these days IMO.

I thought as much. Anyone can come and work in Manchester but I've never had a Manc accent on the phone unless I've rung Supporter Services.

People are saying "never a problem" with the Ticket Office in recent years but I certainly have. I brought my Seasoncard as new 2 seasons ago and the girl on the end of the phone was unable to describe where the seat was. Just block, row and seat number. I also had to tell her which blocks South Stand Upper were. She didn't know which indicated they didn't even have a chart detailing what is where in the ground. That's £500 worth of seasoncard. It's alot of money.

She was very sweet and polite though. I nearly asked her out.

Are you going by train? Just asking, so I don't get the same one, sounds like your mr unfuckinglucky, my missus phoned up and 9.01, received an email on my phone at 9.07 as conformation. Job done. Hope yours was a one off mate, and glad you got it sorted.

I'd prefer to queue for semi tickets.

Hvaing an order accepted by phone or internet by City's ticket office is not as good as a real ticket in your hand.

It still leaves the possibility of the ticket not arriving in time, the order diasppearing into the ether or the order being charged to my credit card but no ticket ever arriving.

This and other cock-ups have happened to me in the past because of City's ticket office.

On the plus side I've also had a ticket arrive and no charge ever made on my credit card.

Nothing changes and this is why more and more people are fucking it off! We are more backward now than when we reached the 1999 play off final.

I queued for 12hrs for my play off final ticket.
I got my semi final ticket online in 5mins on Wednesday morning.

Has it arrived yet? Don't gloat too soon. 31,000 tickets being sent in the post in a few days. Remember the post van theft. At least you had your tickets in your hand in 1999. It's not over till the fat lady sings. ;)

And be very wary if you're told "its in the post".

Last time a friend of mine was worried about the delay in receiving her tickets. Rang the ticket office on the Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs before the match and each time was told "its in the post". On the Friday she rang again and was told "it was sent out about 10 days ago".

It turned out that she was out when the ticket was delivered and couldnt sign for it. So it went back to the Royal Mail sorting office. Unfortunately the card they left had fallen behind a large plant pot. She managed to get her tickets 10mins before the sorting office closed for the day, an hour before her train left for London.

Clearly it wasnt the club's fault that the card had fallen behind her plant pot. But the "its in the post" explanation was just a mantra, something to fob people off with.

I'm dreading next Wednesday. I could have got my ticket on the 1st day, but the Mrs and Daughter aren't in the cup scheme, so won't be able to get their tickets until next Wednesday.

Meltdown.
