Ticket Office Again

Other point with this, if we get 28,000 tickets for an FA Cup Final for example, and we have less than that on the Cup Scheme, why can't everyone on the cup scheme buy one at the same time (meaning people on it can sit together regardless of points)

I guess it staggers the workload for the ticket office. Plus, some people are well arsed about where they sit so if you're on high points, you'll get a better choice.

Because the phone lines and tickets site will go into meltdown and this place will follow suit when people have to queue 4 hours on the phone.

My dad rang to book his ticket today and every time he rang he was in a que for 20-30 minutes, he got down to number 2 and number 1 in the que several times only for it to then put him back to the end of the que! Has anybody else experienced this? I am eligible for a ticket tomorrow morning at 9, hope there's a few left and we can get it sorted!

I have admit I have had a few problems ringing the ticket office lately . The main problem to me seems to be the lack of staff answering the phones . You would think City would employ a few more staff at the ticket office . I have a lot of time for the staff on the phones .

Just a quick warning to anyone who is on cup schemes and has two people set up on the same direct debit account. Check that you have both had your money taken from the the account (e.g father and son) . They managed to take my money for the Blackburn game but had an e mail from them yesterday warning my son that his card had been deactivated due to them not being able to take the money. Supposedly this is due to "multiple transactions" according to their supporter services people. So because of their archaic systems I have to call them up to make the payment unbelievable!

Multiple transactions is a flag for a Bank to refer the transactions as potentially fraudulent and therefore they don't authorise all the payments. I've had this problem buying concert tickets in the past from the same ticket agent. If it's a direct debit rather than a credit /debit card it sometimes looks like a duplicated payment and so again is stopped. Luckily never had a problem with the scheme myself as set it up on a credit card that is active for at least the whole season and they put the seven tickets through as a single transaction as set up via friends and family rather than individually. If yours is set up individually to the same bank details this may be some of the problem, you may need to make some changes before the next round.
clubs only fault is not letting you know same day it was rejected, the rest is likely to be your banks over zealous security.

i once rang the ticket office and was way down the line for an operator, at the time my missus was making me a bacon butty...

after 10 mins i was still on hold for the ticket office, but bacon butty was shoved infront of me ready... Thought id sink my teeth in to the butty, just as i did sods law and a young lady answerd from the ticket office "can i help you please"..

I said "sorry not be a second,im just biting in to a bacon butty as ive been waiting a while"

Girl must have been crammed as fuck because she said "i find that very rude so ring back when you have finished". Then she put the phone down.

Moral of story, let your butty go cold !

Or they employ people capable of dealing with paying customers. I'd have laughed, asked you what sauce you've got on it and taken your order when you've not got your mouth full. They'd not have jobs without City fans buying tickets.
