Ticket Points Sales Tracking

Wow. That is outrageous if correct.
I've been saying it for years that for quite a number of big matches or matches with smaller allocations that the allocation is 35% at best but more often than not 30% or below. What clearly happens in my view is there is some collection of supporters that get a fixed allocation, an absolute number, if they take them all then the pot for loyalty points is heavily reduced when the club's allocation is smaller. This absolute number has been increasing which is why people in roughly the 22K to 25K (a bit speculative from me but slightly quantitative) band get shafted when they would have been able to go to the same matches back in 2005-2012.

Everyone of us on ticket points who goes to an away match will see 100s of people there who have never even been to an away match before yet get a ticket. We are not talking 10s, we are talking 100s.

The fact that the club even attempts to make a statement that any member in the 18-21 age group who qualifies for the first sales criteria will not be included in the ballot just shows me it is a bit iffy because for the majority of the first sales criteria this is not practically (probably not even theoretically) possible.

Doesn’t make sense as people on high points have them because they go week on week out. They don’t pick and choose so you would expect to see a similar number of sales at the higher end as these fans will go everywhere whatever the ko time and regardless of distance.
That’s my point the extra 200 are buying in hope we can win the league at spurs the 250 are the ones that go all the time no matter what

What's difficult for me to tell is when tickets are placed back into the pool (returns from other non ticket point allocations or potentially withheld from our allocation). I'm only taking the difference in available tickets per sales criteria which is why it is sometimes an under estimate. With Fulham some were definitely put back after the first sales window but I can't tell you why, I can only tell there was a net increase in the number of available tickets between the first two sales criteria for Fulham.

If we win can’t secure the league at spurs watch out for all the people that suddenly need to go to work at last minute or the 10th strain of covid outbreak

In reality we won’t know until 48 hours before if we both win this weekend

Missing the point. People on high points won’t buy on the off chance we will win the league at spurs. They are on high points because they go to virtually every game regardless. So either tickets were ‘sold’ but not via points or the numbers sold are wrong which I don’t think was the case.

Those numbers for initial sales at 30k, 29k don't seen right.
There's 6 of my group going all on 29k+
And I know plenty of others with same points and more I see at aways who go every game.
Superbia is down to only a handful of people now. Chatting to a lad in Bern about it this season & he's one of the few left in it

Exactly the same happened for Brighton away last year. There were 100s for sale on here and twitter the days leading to the game because the league was already secured

Ticket points system is dead and a closed shop now. It needs reforming or scrapping completely.

When so many non-season ticket holders get get tickets, without a single point, it makes you wonder doesn't it?
I’m a Citizens member who attends all home league and cup games, although sometimes can’t get a ticket for the biggest games. How are people who aren’t ST holders getting tickets for the biggest games? I’ve alreasy accepted I won’t get a final ticket, although did attend the semifinal.

Yes ,let's hit the core group of people who go to the away matches and have earnt their points.
Whilst leaving the other groups of people who City issue tickets too with impunity to hand them out to all and sundry.
Feck loyalty it doesn't count.

You need to think about this. It’s not about penalising those who have done the hard yards. No one can catch up with those with more points so it’s become a closed shop. How is that fair? What’s more the pool of available tickets gets smaller and smaller.

It’s simple anyone who’s annoyed with tickets needs to point fingers at the club not those who manage to get tickets.

Let’s face it we all want tickets and will do whatever needs to be done to get them I don’t begrudge anyone as it tends to be a reward for effort.

It’s the club cherrypicking let’s say %20 to sell as packages etc which is causing actual fans to miss out. Not your average Joe who’s gone the last 40 years nor the 18-25 crowd.

Clarity on breakdowns or eligibility is needed, as I always say until those who are senior enough figures get out of bed with the club it won’t change.

IMO the infighting between 18-25, , supporters clubs and points. This helps city as it clouds people’s judgement to what group is the real issue.

As someone who can go to most away games it is becoming more of a hassle for tickets for mates etc every year . Won’t be long before most coaches struggle to run at this rate.

It does. I have a better chance of getting away game tickets via social platforms than I do via the club.

I sort of understand why they like a ’tourist’ at home games but have absolutely no idea why they want them at aways.
Have had a regular season ticket since the mid 80’s and I have lived at least 150 miles away since 1989, hence I’ve not been on all the cup schemes recently. 10,500 points.
Lad that I go with lives in Staly Vegas and has had a season ticket at least as long as me, is on every cup scheme, and has been since they started, just under 12,000 points.
Away games are just a pipe dream for us, which just doesn’t sit quite right.
Managed to get 2 of the last few at West Ham but the rest are impossible.

There’s no logic in the current system. Those with the most points are in a closed shop because those of us playing catch up can’t accumulate points to gain parity. I was lucky to go to Istanbul incurring huge personal expense yet was award no points. Same for other European aways. I attend all home fixtures including cup games yet I am no longer awarded points for doing so. I then see vloggers and “tourist” fans able to attend away matches. The system is broken. It’s time to ditch platinum and gold and reform the system so it’s fairer and to genuinely give “loyal” fans the chance to attend these matches
