ticket prices for semi- final

As you say, not a chance there will be whole blocks of empties. To my knowledge, all blocks allocated to City have been on sale since day one so they're not holding back entire blocks of tickets. There's hardly any availability in Level 1 and although there are seats in loads of blocks available in Level 5, a lot of them are just on the back few rows. It may stutter a bit towards a sell out but it won't be like the Community Shield games against United and Arsenal at Wembley where there were indeed blocks of empty seats. Then again, we still sold around 20,000 for the 2011 CS and when we played Chelsea at Villa Park in the following season's curtain raiser we easily sold out our allocation whereas Chelsea didn't sell all their tickets.
About an hour ago I bought two tickets on row 3 of block 550, near the half way line.
So it can't be just the back rows

My guess is that we will sell out our allocation but that Arsenal fans will dominate the 2nd tier seats. They'll mop up the corporate seats.

Yep, which is no surprise as distance wise it's like a home game for Arsenal. If the match was at Old Trafford and we'd received the same allocation that we have for Wembley, we'd have easily sold out by now.

Yep, saw your post earlier about that. I don't think it means they've only sold seats on the first 3 rows of block 550 though as the ones close to the half way line tend to go the quickest. I'm guessing some seats have become available through returns. This morning there were seats available in loads more blocks of Level 1 than there had been in the past week but now it's only offering a choice of a couple of blocks in Level 1.

I'm embarrassed for those of you who are embarrassed. It must be the most common emotion on Bluemoon.

Fair enough, could be corporate returns.
I tried to buy seats on the front row as soon as they were on sale but none were available, must have gone elsewhere

You're right, it should be, and frankly it's embarrassing that it's not. However, the club has systematically priced a significant section of one of the poorest (in terms of disposable income) fan bases in the Premier League out of going to games over the last 5 or 6 years, so maybe that's a factor? Still piss poor that as a group of supporters we've become so complacent so soon though. The media will have a field day if there are blocks of empties on the day.....

how is it embarrassing. its a sunday and your looking at 100 quid minimum to get there/get tickets. as you say we dont have a very rich fan base, the majority of the corporate section will be arsenal fans.

On the railways it's easier to get back to Manchester Sunday night than Saturday.

Over a week before the match think we will sell nearly all the allocation, all first year season ticket holders and citizens only went on sale yesterday.

11 and a half days still to sell out. I cant wait, will never get tired of seeing city at Wembley. I understand those that think its a drag having a semi final there. at least we are in one and still have a chance of a trophy. level 1 looks like its nearly all gone.

Anybody else who got wrong tickets sent had their replacements yet? The person who has one of our tickets is not returning it to Ticket Office till next Tuesday! Supporter Services confident they will get it back for me to receive it by special courier following day.
No not yet,but email today says will receive them within 48 hours.

It's not expensive to watch City compared with other clubs , my season ticket is £380.
Also it's a Sunday game , difficult for some people , especially with kids but I'll tell you what , there will not be blocks of empty seats at all , you're talking shite & it will sell out , we don't play for almost 2 weeks so what exactly are you embarrassed about ?

I didn't say there would be blocks of empty seats. I said the press would have a field day if there were. Also, I didn't say that City's prices were expensive per se, I said that City fans (as a group) had one of the lowest disposable income levels in the Premier League and that many had been priced out of going to games. Comprehension not your strong point? Also if it were a 5:30pm kick off I could accept the assertion that Sunday would be difficult for some people. As it isn't however, I can't see why it would be any more or less difficult to attend than a Saturday game.

Anyone remember at what point we sold out for the semis in 2011 and 2013?

season cards in 2011, down to members in 2013

ironically we have about 8000 more season card holders now, i dare bet there is a good few left, if it was down to hundreds, no way would they let season card holders and members buy an extra 2 each

Wonder what time the leave early brigade will make for the exit.fair play to all the fans that are going it not a cheap day out plus it a fair old slog there and back then work in the morning one word RESPECT

What's it exactly you're embarrassed about again ? Reading not your strong point ?
Priced out by what ? Not expensive seats then by what ?
Talk about backtracking .

There are a few fans who sit near me that have been buying season cards for donkeys years but just dont travel, they've rarely been to a match outside of Manchester. Some have mobility issues, others just dont do aways. Many of them made an exception for the United game in 2011and most of them will travel for a final. But for them, a semi final at Wembley isn't that much more appealing than a quarter final at Boro.

The Tarquins will sell out and probably mop up level 2/club Wembley , it's easily affordable on London wages and they can set off half an hour before the game, our fan base has to make more of an effort - transport, on a Sunday etc.

Nothing wrong with our fanbase whatsoever, we will sell out - much like we do for Champions league games that plenty on here say will be 10,000 short.

I class myself as reasonably well off ,but it's still an expensive day out-for me and my 17 year old it's going to be close on £300 quid for a day out, Wembley's great but which ever way you dress it up it's dear- especially family's with 2 kids.

More cheap season tickets will increase our supporter base , we need to attract the 16/17/18 year olds in numbers to watch City- that and a few more PL titles and Pep football and it will sell out sooner.

Nice...someone with some sense.

we already have those people. its all to do with pricing and making it affordable again.

I agree but there's a massive untapped market of football mad kids living 1 mile away from the ground , the German model would have been groundbreaking for the PL but it will never happen, Dortmund average nearly 80,000 - they are hardly Madrid or Barca- or Bayern for that matter.

Anyway we will sell out Wembley , can't believe we are arguing about it not selling out sooner - a full house is a full house after all.
