Ticket Prices

I’m going to take a lot of heat for this on here but those prices are relatively low.

Go to any sporting event in the US and you are easily paying $100-150 PER TICKET. Obviously there are examples of it being lower but this is universal in NBA, NHL, NFL, Tennis. I can assume the prices at Wimbledon for instance would be similar as well.

I brought my wife on our honeymoon to a city vs. burnley game in 2018. I was over the moon with the ticket prices!

Just saying it could be ALOT worse
Indoor sports are not comparable due to limited capacities, nor is a sport with 8 home games.

Baseball is a large stadium, loads of games, $10 and $20 tickets common in MLB.

Due to the cold weather and poor form people are listing as the club has guaranteed the money back.

I bet the vast majority listed on the exchange and not sold eventually get used even if given away, but this won't happen tomorrow as the club took liability to encourage people to sell and it backfired.

It was badly thought out by the club with no cut-off given bar the 3 hours.
Would you know if this "guarantee" still applies if I list in the morning?

There is no info given, you may need to wait for the listing confirmation email to be certain but that can take a day and most games had sold before one is sent (not likely this one). 5pm if not sold they should email you telling you as a back stop.

I've just checked my email from City, and wasn't aware of this but....

Thank you for using the Manchester City Ticket Exchange. By listing your ticket, you have given another City supporter the chance to cheer on the team and help create an amazing atmosphere.

As you may be aware, supporters who list their ticket for the fixture below will automatically receive payment from the Club for their ticket. This means you do not need to wait for another supporter to purchase your ticket before your refund is confirmed and you should receive the refund of £22.37 (1/19th of the cost of the Season Ticket). Typically refunds are received within 14 working days after the game, however it can take up to 45 days.

It could of been mate .. it could of been Burnley away you’d of been divorced before half time ;)

Season ticket holders should get cheaper tickets.

Even then, my season ticket is the second largest Direct Debit I have coming out each month after my mortgage. So it’s not as cheap as you’d imagine.

I don’t think any football ticket should be more than £30 for an adult yet my season ticket averages out at £45/game.
Exactly this, it should be £25 a game for season ticket holders, £30 a game for the rest, obviously excluding corporate.

I don't know what's worse the football we are presently serving up or the £4.50 for the shit pies!!

There's a Greggs across the road in Asda. Might save yourself at least £15 on pastry products.

As you say, thieving bastards and kids have short attention spans and plenty of other stuff to entertain them these days.

We have long taken for granted the generation who kept us going through the 80s and 90s.

I'm not so sure the next will stay engaged unless the Bank of Mum and Dad or Grandparents sell a kidney.
It’s £3 for a bottle of fake Coke (Coke Zero)… THREE POUNDS for a bottle with those sweeteners in that are supposed to cheaper because it doesn’t have the sugar tax on top.

I remember Bayern releasing their numbers on ticket prices once. They have 12,000 season tickets at around £300.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we only had about 120 at that price at City.
