Ticket Sales Policy

I'm a S/T holder who cannot make it to every game through work & ill-health. But my seat is never empty. Their is always a member of my family who I will let use my ticket free of charge. There is no reason any S/T holder should let his seat be empty. I'm sure he could let a mate use it. if your a good mate you would'nt charge. If you did maybe a pint. Hate seeing empty seats.

As already suggested, a good solution is:

* Can't attend the match? select your season ticket online at tickets.mcfc.co.uk
* put this ticket up for RE-sale, with City able to RE-sell this seat, and you getting a percentage and or commission.
* Your card is then disabled, with the buyers Bluecard then enabled for your seat.

This is needed. The club need to fuck ViaNoGo off.

As for early leavers: I don't see the problem. just a reflection of how we consume media now.
By the time they have driven home to wherever they'll then watch MOTD and see the ending of the match, or download the whole match online somewhere.

I don't need to leave early right now so I don't.

City could easily run their own seat exchange service imo and it would cost sod all after the cost of building/coding the system.

I think places like viagogo are shite, they prey on desperation (can't get a ticket anywhere else) and i find it a bit repulsive if i am honest.
Heard to many stories of outright piss taking with regards to prices for tickets.

Well we'll see if the club truly listen to fans or not as every Blue I've spoke with on the subject of Vianogo has said they dislike it and don't want it.

I know two who can't go to the 12:45 kick offs because they are working. Won't sell them on ViaGoGo for obvious reasons so try n pass them on sometimes their seats are empty.

Maybe if city had a free service where you tell city you can't go and then city sell on your ticket and you get some of the money. it's not possible for everyone to turn up to every home game.

It's those that turn up and then leave on the strike of 80mins that annoy me but then there has been a million threads on this issue already.

I travelled from Lincoln this morning and had to drive back also before starting a 12 hour night shift tonight! To ensure I could get back in time I left when Jovetic scored to ensure that once back I had enough time to eat my tea before starting work.

Now I could have easily said fuck it, it's on TV I'll not go, just like you are condoning. I however decided it was better to at least attend and fill the seat for 80 minutes, a policy you seem to condemn.

My point is that some attendance is better than non attendance and many of us travel great distance at great cost and often have to juggle work commitments to boot.

Personally I believe turning up late to your seat is a worse crime than leaving early and funnily enough those that chose that option today missed a goal. In selecting an early departure I didn't!

Good for you pal, I stopped overnight on fri to make the KO left on 87 min to catch the 15.07 to Brum now on the connection to Exeter diverted Via Newport. just hope the wife has left the car for me in Exeter St Davids car park means a 50 min wait for a Dawlish train if she has not.
27 years ago living in North Reddish I never left before the end of a game so to the seat leaving mafia piss off and as the grandson says to his Mum "get off my case"

People do have lives with jobs and other commitments....

My son started his first job 3 months after we bought his season ticket - his boss keeps putting him on Saturday shifts, because he misses a day of work during the week for college.

Maybe I should tell my son to forget college an his job? You can't miss a game!

Being slightly less sarcastic - when he can't attend I always offer the ticket out to family and friends (and those who sit around me) for FREE but don't get many takes because it's a 16-17 ticket. To upgrade costs money which the casual fan who goes once every 5 years doesn't want to spend* (City quoted me £39 to upgrade from 16-17 to an adult ticket for the Fulham game)

*maybe I need new mates

Project manager Ste :)
Honest bud that seems a perfectly viable system to me, nowt stopping them beyond some shitty contract with viagogo i bet.

ive missed quite a few this season, hit a bit of financial trouble so unable to travel back n forth from sheffield.

i usual pass the tickets on for free but since being caught, banned and threatened by the club for not doing a ticket exchange the official way (viagogo) ive not risked it. pretty sure the club dont give a shit about the empty seats, so long they make money through the viagogo link.

Thats exactly why the whole system should come under a review .just doesnt make sense to charge so much for upgrade .Unless things get sorted there will be a whole generation of Blues who have only seen City on telly & never been to the ground

You say that but on the last two times I couldn't go, i couldn't find a taker and I never charge. It's usually always last minute decision not to go for me, child Ill or whatever and at a few hours notice people who may have said yes in the week have got other plans.
