Tickets sold vs attendance

Re: Attendance figures.

The fact is it was a sell out(home fans) some season ticket holders couldn't make it for reasons only they know! Every home league game has been sold out this season unlike the scums which were 2000 down against Stoke midweek!
I spotted that. Maybe a 1,000 down. Time to hijack their song?

Re: Attendance figures.

Could award additional loyalty points for attending the game.
Also an exchange system should be available at sold out games.

Attendance figures.

I'm not being funny but who gives a fuck if there empty seats. Just make sure you go when you have a ticket and you've done your bit. If you can't make it due to the missus booking a holiday during a game give your ticket to someone else who would want to go. We are starting to sound like them rags obsessed with empty seats. I don't care if there are 5 or 100000 we are still top of the league and long may we stay there. Ctid

Due to me not actually wanting to die

Re: Attendance figures.

It's all tickets sold that are counted and not bums on seats for Tax reasons. All clubs follow that rule. Remember games at Maine Road like Charlton & Sunderland - to name two - that had a crowd announced at least 7000 lower than the official attendance?

Sell out means home fans only but, who cares!

I had a ticket but didn't go for a number of reason: KO time meant I would have to leave 20 mins into 2nd half to get last train home and I was told to expect some disruption to the service.

I wasn't able to watch it on ESPN as I don't have Sky or Freeview!!!

I have a seat for Blackburn - another 5:30 KO

Re: Attendance figures.

As usual, people have ignored the OP's question and jumped on the attendance argument.

OP if you ignore the posts from people arguing/justifying the empty seats you will have your answer,.

Season Cards are automatically included as attendance figure on match day and then any seats sold on open sale, so whether people turn up or not they are included as attendance. As someone else mentioned it looks like this could be to do with tax, the fact that the club have the money whether people turn up or not.
As far as last night goes another home sell out but Fulham failed to sell out their allocation.
