It's how kids operate. That is why many of my mates are United fans, because as we got more into football at the age of 13 onwards, United just started winning things, (their ECWCW success being the starting point), so they chose to support them. Their kids now will support City, because it is us who will be winning things. Par for the course.

Two 8-9 years olds , who were running around my avenue in United tops a couple of years back , and now wearing City tops with Aguero on the back !
Exactly mate, it's just how it goes.

In west country last week and saw 3 young lads in city gear, good to see in a former rag stronghold

bluemoon rising!!

That makes me happy - and sad - at the same time.

All 3 of my kids have been City fans since they could first talk ... I can't imagine it any other way.

Can't always be like that I had never seen us win anything before the sheik come along and am sure that goes for most city fans nowadays but am also sure it will be an easier task to get your children to support your chosen team if they are winning.

As for the op mate if my son did decided to be a rag I certainly would not be buying him the kit. No chance!

Moved house 2 weeks ago in Oxford and 3 young un's playing football outside my house so I asked them who they supported 2 said Barcelona and the last one said City. Good lad

I took my Nephew to Droylsden Juniors last Saturday and was surprised how many Rag shirts were on show to be honest. Then like some people have mentioned they are 6 years old so Utd were winning things at that time. I still think there is an element of passing down your team to your son/daughter. I promised myself I wouldn't do that to my new born but he is more or less kitted out in City gear all the time now.

On the down side the Mrs is from Boro so he has a shirt and pyjamas but we don't mention that in public! ; )

My first son is due on the 8th Jan and he already has an impressive array of City babygrows, hats etc in his wardrobe,he has a home and away vest set which look the dogs, he will be going to his first game as soon as he allowed by the missus.

As somebody has posted im a blue as was my dad and his dad was so naturally my son will be a blue aswell,i agree with de niro, its care if he dares drink out of the red trough.

Your born to be a blue, reds are manufactured,if any red has kids who turn blue its there own fault for being gloryhunting armchairs in the first place.

Last season after the 1-6 ; Sunderland played them and a colleague of mine who's a sundland fan told me that they were singing "your children will be City fans".

I never had a choice.

It was like north korea in my house.

"Follow the blues, or tortue...your choice?"
