Apparently, stealing anything under £200 from a shop has been effectively decriminalised.

Now, who decides what laws should be enforced, who has the power to decriminalise, and which political party controls that process?

Looks like they pick and choose who they prosecute, in the instance of the mob it's the breach of the peace and assault that needs to be dealt with severely.

 
He was on a suspended sentence, so he's not really being jailed for the thefts.

And stealing from the same place day after day, he's either a kleptomaniac or smack/crack head.

You don't get to take the piss and get away with it.

I doubt that's all the nuisance he was causing, but it seems the easiest offences to pursue and send him back to prison.
 
London’s a strange city. It’s very wealthy and you’re usually left alone as it’s not confrontational; but it has an awful undertone that serious crime can occur anywhere at any time. I’ve never found anywhere more dangerous.

“Kids will be kids” is absolute crap. Neither me nor friends nor family nor anyone we knew looted shops and fought police. Liverpool is full of thick scrotes but it’s not happened at JD Sports there.

Liverpool city centre JD had more security than the White House last time I was there
