Tim Burgess
It speaks volumes that Charlatans fans are obsessed with being seen as 'better than Oasis'. With such high aspirations it's little surprise that Timothy has taken to dressing like a depressed 14yr old with a Horrors hair cut.
Yes it would if they were.

he's gone all camp and blond ever since he married a Yank and moved to LA

mind you the solo album he released last year was very good (though nowt like The Charlatans)

His always has been awkward in interviews and a bit on the camp side.

Charlatans were a great band though and his new album is top.

Either way, they're a bit bland, they're always following that years trend and Tim Burgess is possibly the least genuine man in music....he's been Ian Brown lite, Liam Gallagher lite, Gram Parsons lite, Carl Barat lite and now he's The Horrors but 5 years too late lite.

I shit him.

No,it's their opinion,Mark, because music is subjective.
And Burgess was born in Salford,if anyone really cares.

Ok, so if people claimed East 17 are far better than the Beatles you would not hold back on that ?

I wouldn't agree with them personally, but they would be entitled to their opinion.
You like Oasis, others don't,and prefer different bands.
Is this really such a difficult concept for you to take on board?
lol:smile:

I can see why you call them a bit bland, with some bands it takes a slightly raised intellect to tune in their particular groove, unlike Oasis who are more pleasing to the great unwashed ear. An Oasis track grabs you instantly as if you've already heard it before, which in many cases you actually have of course. By another band but still, you've heard it before.
Don't get me wrong, I like Oasis. On balance though, I just get more out of the Charlatans.

Like somebody else said I can't believe he didnt know the wrods to Wonderwall. Put me off him after seeing him on Soccer AM far far too camp for me.
