Time catching up with Zabaleta?

Zabaleta and Kompany should both be due a testimonial in two years. I would like them both to have one. I can't remember the last City player to have one, but these two would definitely deserve the honour.

Always puts in a shift, true blue
My favorite moment was when he scored against Roma away, ran straight to the away stands kissing the badge
He was SO pumped
would have loved to have been there!

No chance, they shouldn't need the fans to pay for their retirement. They should pay for the fans to watch a game for free and thank them if anything.

Modern day players tend to donate any testimonial money to charity.

Maybe they could donate their own money?
Maybe. I'm sure they do have charities which they donate to on a personal level. Seems a petty way of looking at it to me. If either were to get one it means they would have been with us for another two years and my guess would be more trophies to their collection. Chances are they'd be the most successful players in our history. That would get a thank you from me.

He seems to have really slowed down. It's as if he's stuck in quick sand sometimes.

A city legend without a doubt, all the money in the world can buy us a world class right back, what it cant buy is the love zabba has for us he'd bleed blue, & dont forget it wasn't that long ago he was even 1st choice over micha

Will be a sad day when Zabba leaves us and I'm pretty sure it will be this close season, a true legend and a warrior for us. Would be tough seeing him play elsewhere but deserves to keep playing for as long as he can.

my only gripe about his time with us is he should have been our captain whenever Vinny was out.

And how many people forget his goal against QPR..

Its difficult to say goodbye to one of our favourite sons,a modern legend,a warrior and an inspiration....however....time,without doubt,is catching him up....and while he isnt exactly fit for the scrap heap just yet, neither is he capable of the standard that once made him the envy of the league and the very best forwards fear him. So,while I believe he could still do a very good job for us,i also think we could do a lot better this coming season and I reluctantly believe Pep will think similar.
