Time for Mark Hughes to resign.

great performance
any other day - wed be through
wood work 3 times deserves a result no doubt

but never take motm off ,even if hes got one leg hes more likely to win a game than gelson

then with 8 mins left why leave richards on pretending hes injured, and not throw anyone who could score in the mix
we had to.repeat had to score

thats it for me

In some ways the excellent performance tonight has convinced me even more than ever that Hughes is not the man for the job. Why? Well, because we saw what our team (even with injury problems) is really capable of, which is, without doubt, a damn sight better than we have done this season. The managers job is to get the best out of his team on the vast majority of occasions and as we have seen tonight the rest of the season has been nowhere near what we can really do.

I posted earlier in the week that if we got knocked out tonight I couldnt see any logical reason why Hughes shouldn't be sacked tomorrow.

But I thought it was a top performance from the team tonight, and I'd be tempted to stick with him until the end of the season now. If we can replicate that sort of performance, and effort over the rest of the season then he might be worth another season. If we can replicate that sort of performance I can see us qualifying for Europe next season as well.

I doubt it will happen, and I can see more disappointing performances ahead of us, but in my eyes he's bought himself another month or so.

Well said. If anything the performance tonight lends itself to taking the sensible perspective on this season as a whole. A hugely disappointing managerial performance.

When Hughes comes good you will be the ones lickin his arse and saying you always backed him....time will tell and to be fair...I couldnt give a fuck who is the manager if he wears a blue shirt then he'll do for me!
