Time for Mark Hughes to resign.

Yes we played amazing tonight, and can be very proud. BUT... hughes' subs were all wrong in my book, shoulda taken dunne off at half time. But when he did get sent off, i wouldnt have brought gelson on. Im no tactical genius, but with my vast FM experience, i woulda gone...

Petrov for Micah
Sturridge for Caicedo

----------Given-----------
---Kompany--Onuoha--Bridge
-----Ireland----Zab-------
Elano-----Robbie-----Petrov
---------Sturridge--------

lets hope this game has shown just how lucky we are to have mark at the club.
lets put this manager thing behind us and finish the season strongly.

oh please!
You have to be kidding.

I tenatively agree, against my heart. Getting shot of managers has been our downfall, MH for the sake of stasbility and City should be given another season. Ouch, that hurts, but we need stability and the players need to know it is they who go if we do not perform, not the manager.

Stability when we hire a proven quality manager! Sven was probably worth the old stability argument. Hughes... I just cannot see it, other than liking good players (who doesnt!?!? - I could buy decent players with billions in the bank ffs)

Yes, we were brilliant tonight. Loads of effort etc, but its to be expected when a team needs 2 goals at home to progress in a european quarter final. It's the other games that is the problem!

And whats any other manager done for us in the last 30 years??? FUK ALL......which is why we need to give someone some time rather than sackin them because were not in any competitions are you aware that we can still make our best ever prem finish? What will you say then? Open your eyes were building a 10 year plan here not a one season wonder...

De Niro, I was wondering what your opinion on Hughes currently was as I haven't seen anything you have typed in the recent past. I tend to take a keen interest in what you say as by all means you seem to be a man that talks sense/is in the know.
Anyhow, my point for replying is I was wondering if there was any specific reasoning behind your strong support for the manager at this time? I have also thought along the same lines as you earlier in the season when you have given him your backing but over recent weeks I have began to doubt whether or not I do feel he is the right man for the club. I believe there are many valid arguments for both keeping him and getting rid and I could probably get splinters for sitting on this fence but I have now got to the point where I will just accept what is to be decided in the summer by the men with the money. I am intrigued to know why you are so strong in your support for him though, so if you would be so kind, please let me know via PM or a reply on this thread. Alternatively, you can just ignore my message and we'll forget I ever asked.

Many Thanks

FFS get a grip,

Look at the signings Hughes has made.....all of which have been excellent and Im quite sure with the FULL BACKING of ADUG which he WILL get by the way, Hughes will make more quality signings and im not so sure the big names will come to us this summer but I am sure we will be at least a top 6/7 side next season.....some people on here do not know much about football....the ones who are slating him week in week out...do you go to every game or do you just sit in your arm chair and watch on sky like those cokney rags????? Hes our manager start backinghim for fuk sake.....so what happens if we sack him then? We get another manager and were back at square one you are the same idiots who were saying the club needed stability! Were about to get some stability and your still fucking complaining. GET A GRIP!

If you want to be stable go and visit a bloody horse.

Its a one season wonder already. Wonder how the hell Hughes got so lucky with Frank paying 5 million for him and his inadequates.

Thanks to hughes we lost this match. How can he not change Dunne when the referee has warned him two times that the next fault was enough to send him off.

In your opinion he got the substitutions wrong. Elano was knackered having given 100% we needed fresh legs to regain midfield, Zab injuried. Big choice.

however you look at it, with 15 minutes remaining, one goal down, when we went one man down, we elected to keep the holding midfielder and back four, which is surely over-cautious

I thought we played well tonight but we certainly weren't 'great' IMO. We had a spell for about 10 minutes after we got our second goal where we were excellent and there was obviously Elano's free kicks but that aside Hamburg were pretty comfortable i thought

Did anyone notice that Hughes was going to bring Gelson on even before Dunne got sent off? That was baffling me to be honest, why would be have wanted to bring Gelson on when we needed to win the game?

Elano fantastic but thats whats to be expected when he plays further forward. I've said it on here time and time again that Elano needs to be played further forward. When he's played further forward rather than playing from deep as he has done in most games this season he's been excellent
