If 2 blokes want to go into a boxing ring and smack the living daylights out of each other, good luck to them. It's called choice. As is getting in a racing acar and driving at 200 miles per hour.

Where is the horses choice in being flogged around Aintree and forced to jump Beachers Brook hemmed in between 10 other horses at the same time? If the horse refuses to jump at the last minute, it can take a handful with it to the glue factory.
are u a vegetarian ??

Yes, because he told me to be one

Can you explain how "doing good" is a bad thing?

Your argument, bringing in tackling, is irrelevant, and the rest of your post makes no sense

"doing good" is a very subjective thing mate. ask the taliban!! - or the yanks for that matter!!!

Would you accuse the Taliban of being do-gooders though?

i wouldnt personally, but the Taliban would. and that is the point i am making. one mans 'good' is another mans 'bad'. very subjective!!

hard to say what is best for the sport, would you stop the jump side and deny life to many thousands of horses and stop the enertainment of millions or keep it going and accept that out of the thousands of races run each year, even when the percentage of casualties is very small, you will still see deaths, of horses and humans.

Out of interest.....what are the trainers/jockeys/stable staff/tipsters/media columnists/presenters and the thousands and thousands of other people employed because of horse racing supposed to do for a job?

i don't know get another job like everyone else has to when they get laid off maybe?

understand the point of "they were bred to race" etc but the horses don't really get a say do they?

anyway i no longer wish to go on with this subject so have a nice day :)

what do wild horses actually do?

they eat and sleep and shag and run around and jump over stuff (when they have to).

you know why we humans dont use koala bears to do this sport, its because they are shit at the running and jumping part!!! horses are good at it.

therefore we humans give life to an animal, and keep it in pretty good conditions, and then let it do what it evolved to do best, and then pat it on the head when its finished.

not a bad deal for the horse as far as i can see!!!!

Or shoot it, as happened four times yesterday

the vegetarian argument is shit, not that being a veggie isn't flawed anyway.

i don't like it, so don't take any interest, and the whole horses/choice argument is no different to...say...indoctrinating a kid from a very early age to believe in certain things, if that's what it knows that's what its going to do, its not really a choice.

the major sticking point is that most people don't care because it's only horses.

ban it, how can you justify a horses life by fucking betting?

Also do you think that horse's will just roam around the British countryside as a free animal, there would be very few horses without racing/show jumping etc

Bred to do a job and that job is to compete, they clearly love it.

It is very sad that 4 horse died but that is the nature of sporting events.

Absolute and utter fucking drivel from some bimbo who knows fuck all about national hunt racing.
Word to the wise love - stick to boring on about that fat racist **** who used to be in the Smiths and leave racing to those of us who love and understand it.
Or find another futile cause to champion.

Well said that man!!

No. They infringe on basic human rights. Banning jumps is not exactly the same sort of thing.

Lets ban the French and the Belgians then, they kill loads of them each year just to eat.The o/p needs to give his head a wobble.Have you not seen the news today, people die every day,why are you not posting about that.......

My point is just about the use of the term
