"Time To Go Mario"

That article only represents the view of the Mario haters. To blame him alone for our demise is pathectic. This could have easily had been written by any of the rag media scum!

Ridiculous, inflammatory and wholly inaccurate. I can see a bright future for this lad in journalism.

"Singlehandedly derailed Citys title charge"? Fucking hell.
Some people have questioned whether Mario's being scapegoated and we see shite like this from our own fans?

I stopped reading here to be honest.

Shame as I'm sure the writer makes some good points later on, but take Mario out of the equation and we still wouldnt have won the league

Whilst I agree with the sentiment that he's reached the end of the line, I'm uncomortable with a number of City fan's desire to pin our failings this year sole on him.

That's sort of my point. How simplistic an understanding of causality do you have to have to blame everything on a single person? And even if you do blame it on a single person, why pick the only form striker we have who has no responsibility over team affairs?

I blame Adam Johnson personally.

Agree... too simplistic.

My big worry is that he will be hounded out... then go on to be a worldwide superstar once he reaches 25yrs...

Our failings rest firmly on Mancini's shoulders and poor decisions havent helped

Have we failed though? I think everyone got over excited with the early results. We have had a record breaking season if thats failure then label me a failure. Its only because its them over there who are challenging us also remember they want to give the liqour head his 20th before we dominate for years to come. If he didnt get it this year who knows if his liver would have held out.

Im sad we not winning it but im not gutted and it is sad to see some fans act like lotto winners crying because they have been told there is a one year waiting list for the Bugatti.

For fook sake he's a KID, how many players his age are even playing half the games he is? I really feel we and probably Mancini are expecting too much from a KID, he's what 20/21? The guy needs to grow up but the manager should have been withdrawing him weeks ago when his form badly dipped - Swansea he was rubbish. He needed to be subbed and benched but the faith Mancini has in him seems to have blinded him to the fact that he is still a KID and should be handled like one. As in dont play him every game and introduce him bit by bit, even when he does great....take him out and dont play him for two games. He has had too much too soon because of his ability and now everyone wants to abandon him? - Insane.....to blame him for the title challenge failing is silly as well...there are far bigger problems - loss of silva form for one and nobody in squad being able to replace him. We are still a really good team learning to play together. The league this year was always a big big ask, next season we will be stronger. The club need to stick together, give Mancini a chance to show he can learn and that the team can grow to be a team on a more consistent basis.....another season please.

I challenge anyone who is giving Kev a dig to write their own full article in response. Blaming Balotelli alone is unfair although he's certainly not exempt from the blame in any way!

It has made me want to write an article myself and in the coming months after I finish this work I have on at the moment, I intend on writing one....not to respond to Kev's though, to offer my own interpretation of the season.

I agree that he is not exempt from blame as we have to take responsibility for own actions but the article ignored the context and all other substantial factors contributing to the failing title bid. To blame Mario is as equally insane as to blame AJ or NDJ or Edin or anyone else.
