Tino Livramento

You failed to answer my question so I’ll assume you can’t.
Thanks for acknowledging my consistency. I would point out that both players you highlighted were equally inept at defending and have flopped massively since leaving City because they are shit defenders. I will hazard a guess Nunes will go the same way.
Thanks for making my point for me :)
Zinchenko and Cancelo are both crap defenders. I agree. Nunes is miles clear of either defensively after about a dozen or so games.

1. It's not your/their money
2. Man City has more than enough money to pay that
3. We are getting outspent by our rivals left, right and center..
4. In case you forgot, we paid 100mil for Grealish!
5. Livramento is world class, young and English (which counts for the English quota that we currently must increase)
6. We desperately need a world class right back now, which is exactly what Livramento is
7. By buying him, any chance of Isak to Liverpool (our rivals) would fall apart
Oh my...LMAO

Is this graphic supposed to prove Nunes is the better full back?
Where are the stats re his constant fuck ups? I’d list a few but I could be here all afternoon. I’ll agree he did improve, but not to premiership level. We still need a rb in my opinion. I think the club want one too, it’s just an availability issue at the moment.
In fairness he's basically fucked up twice. One cost us the game. The other was at the death in a game we led 3-0. It shouldn't take all afternoon to say that. You don't have to fancy Nunes at RB but there's no need to exaggerate his faults to support your narrative. There's no way from what we've seen on the whole anyone can objectively say he will fail as an RB. He's played there all of a dozen or so times and he's been up for MOM at least 3 or 4 times. If everyone including Pep performs to their standard Nunes at RB will do just fine.
Now as far as having depth at outside back, that's an entirely different issue.

Livramento is not an 80 mil pound player. There are numerous capable young right backs in Europe that could be had at less than half that amount. Having the cash is no reason to grossly overspend for anyone. An 80 mil pound RB would need to be world class, top 3 at the position. Is anyone stepping forward willing to drop 80 mil on Livramento? I'd take Livramento at 45/50 mil and that's about the ceiling of what he's worth.
We got good priced deals on Ant Nouri and Reindeers, this one we may need to overpay, swings and roondaboots

Decent is the new world class?

1. It's not your/their money - actually correct...
2. Man City has more than enough money to pay that - 2 out of 2!!! (presuming PSR is OK)
3. We are getting outspent by our rivals left, right and center.. - and then you did a Stevie G
4. In case you forgot, we paid 100mil for Grealish! - shrugs shoulders
5. Livramento is world class, young and English (which counts for the English quota that we currently must increase) - No he's not & there's no such thing as an English quota, even if there was we don't NEED to increase it
6. We desperately need a world class right back now, which is exactly what Livramento is - still isn't
7. By buying him, any chance of Isak to Liverpool (our rivals) would fall apart - besides being at the same club the two aren't connected no matter how often it's said
I'll give you 3 out of 7 and that's only for remembering that we paid £100m for Jack, not that that is relevant. That's quite good by your usual standards.

he's decent, not world class

You can be world class in different aspects of your game. Livramento is world class in 1v1 defending, best right back in the league last season and the season before in 1v1 defending locking down wingers. He's not in the attack department but at 1v1 defending he is.

Everyone’s definition of world class is different in the same way “big club” is meaningless.

My meaningless definition of World Class is a player that is in the top 2 in the world at their usual position. So for me personally Livramento is not even close.

Wan-Bissaka is far superior defensively(more tackles and dribbled past 3x less) and had over 2x Livramento's career attacking output last season but no-one would want him here.

What’s outside back mate? Not heard that term before?

Vanderson, Nunes, Hakimi, Santos and Livramento.

Impressed with Vanderson's metrics. Stacks up against Hakimi's. Livramento arguably the worst on the list, by some distance.
I hoped Santos would join, seemed cheap and talented, but alas he had ACL injury

Vanderson seems only option available for a decent fee, 2nd maybe would Malo Gusto

If that's true, then Livramento is nowhere near world class. Even Nunes seems comfortably better.

The hype around English players can be crazy.
