Title Race 2020/21

I think the thing that is different to last season, is that our main rivals are continually dropping points themselves. Who would have bet that we would be top now? After we had won only three from our first eight, and were already eight points behind candlepool. This season has no game that is a given, highlighted by last nights result.

Stretch up to Rags at Home is tough given our injuries. Butbif we win all matches till Rags home, we would have won title by March first week. Taking out Pool Spurs and United would be Enough. Easier said than done given we never win at Dipperfield and Spurs have our number in recent matches. Hopefully we can now break our AndieldnJinx and beat Spurs. Would be a massive

We have done a great job of making that top 6 mini league less important by getting wins against the rest of the league.

We know the emphasis will be on others to beat us and that plays into our hands.

That is a pretty good indicator of who will win the PL :-)

I like it, but would prefer the table to read 4 games left, city 13 points ahead ;)

Half season and end of season points totals since 17/18:

17/18
City - 55/100
Liverpool - 35/75
United - 42/81
Spurs - 34/77
Leicester - 27/47

18/19
City - 44/98
Liverpool - 51/97
United - 32/66
Spurs - 45/71
Leicester - 28/52

19/20
City - 38/81
Liverpool - 55/99
United - 28/66
Spurs - 29/59
Leicester - 39/62

I have bolded where there has been a significant (5+ points) improvement over the 2nd half of the season. It doesn't really happen. Most of the time, 1st half season form is continued through the 2nd half of the season.

20/21
City - 41
Liverpool - 34
United - 40
Spurs - 33 (18 games)
Leicester - 38

I am predicting that 85 points wins the league comfortably but as low as 80 points might do it. It also means Liverpool probably need to win 15 of their remaining 19 games to even challenge.
