To Mr Roberto Mancini.

I've always said that Mancini would do it for us. He is a typical Italian Manager that is ultimately driven towards winning, however ugly or controversial. I have been watching this team now for almost 52 years and fellow blues, trust me; this lad will take us places, I've been there with Joe and Mal, who also had the gift. Mancini is going to be up there with them, pretty soon.

I am from the same era and totally agree with what the above gentleman says. I firmly believe that under RM, City will take giant strides forward and the League title is well within our grasp next season. I have never publicly backed Roberto - its not my style - but from deep within me I have always been totally impressed with the way he has carried out his job this season.
He has been under constant pressure - the media, the public in general, the fact that because of the finances he has had to justify the outlay - and finally - from so many people on Bluemoon.
Roberto, I respect you because you are much more than a mere mortal like the rest of us.
Hail the second coming of Joe Mercer, (and Malc of course).

It's good to know that we both realise it. Next season will be awaited with relish.

not long ago that everyone had an agenda against city. mancini came in and the press laid in to him like wild rabid dogs. well get to fuck everyone. because big bobby manc is taking us to the champions league with our first trophy under our belts. thankyou, much love.

For the 1989–90 season, Ferguson further boosted his squad by paying large sums of money for midfielders Neil Webb, Mike Phelan and Paul Ince, as well as defender Gary Pallister and winger Danny Wallace. The season began well with a 4–1 win over defending champions Arsenal on the opening day, but United's league form quickly turned sour. In September, United suffered a humiliating 5–1 away defeat against fierce rivals Manchester City. Following this and an early season run of six defeats and two draws in eight games, a banner declaring "Three years of excuses and it's still crap. Ta ra Fergie." was displayed at Old Trafford, and many journalists and supporters called for Ferguson to be sacked.Ferguson later described December 1989 as "the darkest period [he had] ever suffered in the game", as United ended the decade just outside the relegation zone. . Thank you bobby Manc for not putting us through that

The last four games were all potential "typical city" games.

Miss out on Champions League, lose FA Cup. Not only did that not happen but we leaped frogged Arsenal.

Mancini has changed the mentality of the players/club.

The only thing puzzling me is the absence of cabalistas tonight.

Yes, we have finally shaken off the "typical City" tag and hopefully got rid of the so called "gypsy curse". A new City has arisen from the ashes and from now on it is onwards and upwards - the sky is the limit and I am so please to have been about to witness it.
May the fear starting growing within the rest of the footballing world - we are coming to get you!<br /><br />-- Sun May 22, 2011 7:57 pm --<br /><br />Yes, we have finally shaken off the "typical City" tag and hopefully got rid of the so called "gypsy curse".
