He probably was on a day trip to Manchester.Went to the swamp, took a few selfies and bought some souvenirs then took in the City match. We might not like it but it is a sign we are now a top club and you can't blame these people wanting to take in the experience they see on tv. It is part of the modern game like it or lump it.
Is the correct answer.

Re: To the Chinese "fan" sat in front of me at game yesterda

It is just like English fans going to Spain and doing the Barcelona stadium tour.

At the back of 307 there's quite a few Oriental gentlemen who spend most of the match taking selfies and recording the match with their ipads.

Last year's derby 2 blokes in front of me and my lad who stood up every time the rags went forward and stayed seated after City goals. After the 4th goal I tapped them on the shoulder and said "your team is fucking shite"

Haha, good man.

Do you think that barca, Madrid, German teams fans are whining about english fans attending games??

It's EXACTLY like going to a foreign match when you"re on holiday. I've been to both Barcelona and Real Madrid in my time No massive fan of either but as a football fan great to see a big team in action in a great stadium, what's the difference? Why are some Blues so precious and parochial in their attitudes? What harm are these "tourist" fans doing?

If they keep being bothered for the wifi password and poked with selfi sticks yeah.

Re: To the Chinese "fan" sat in front of me at game yesterda

Is it really that much of a problem?
Can't say I have noticed it that much.....selfie sticks and wifi password requests, otherwise it's a sign of the times and we should be pleased that people want to come to Manchester to watch us play.

If I went to one of Madrid's biggest games of the season, got tickets diverted to me as a priority in front of fans who go regularly, spent all game supporting the opposition (or at least getting giddy about their star players), started blocking aisles and seats in order to get the best selfie angle and was openly giddy when the opposition scored - all in home end - then I'd expect to get kicked out and, if not, be in line for a kicking from the home fans.

But that is exactly what will happen en mass in a couple of weeks when Barca play here.

Not that I condone anyone getting a kicking or would ever be involved in it but I used to see mouthy away fans get removed by stewards from the home end every week. But there is a policy in place to turn a blind eye to it at certain games now because the club actively encourage the tickets getting into the hands of neutrals/ half-arsed away fans ahead of blues.

Oh, and if I was at a match in the Nou Camp, in the home end, I wouldn't be arrogant and sad enough to start waving a St George's flag about - assuming that anyone in the ground gives a shit about where I am from or who I am 'representing'. There's not much fucking weirder than someone desperately wanting everyone in the ground - a ground where no-one gives a shit about it - to know where they are from.

What do you suggest?
