St George is the patron saint of Barcelona - hence why the red cross is in the club badge.

Yes, I know that - hence why I pointed out to jma that his example about a St George flag not being welcome in Barcelona is a bad one to use.

Ah right, I see what you're saying!

Regarding tourists, I know lots of level 2 fans aren't happy about being turfed out from the best seats, but I reckon this is where the visitors will be located in future seasons, paying over the odds, leaving the rest of us riff-raff to congregate in tiers 1 and 3. Just the modern game, I suppose.

They weren't alone, it was such pathetic defending I probably laughed as well. I thought we'd left that shite behind, but that defending was like being back in the late 90's it was so poor.

I would of thought Moore would of been at the Curragh for the Pretty Polly group 1 is on that day. I would of guessed a lot of trainers would of wanted Ryan on 1 of there horses for that race best jockey at the moment riding is Ryan.

Good point Everton didn't do us like that...

Free headers conceded in the same 2 fixtures last season also, only we managed to score a lot more.

I was sat up in Colin Bell stand on the 3rd tier, when they got the pen I heard a load of clapping a few rows behind me so turned round and saw some gobby cockney fucker cheering,so I obviously told him he was a gobby cockney twat and he should fuck off out of the city end or shut up! He was sat with some city fans who must of got him the ticket, disgracefull if you ask me! At half time it decided I needed to move away to another seat so went to see my pals at the bar where we saw about 4 or 5 people wearing half city half the pride of North London scarfs and one fella with a Leeds United scarf on! Wtf is happening to my football club?

Re: To the Chinese "fan" sat in front of me at game yesterda

If they pay price to get in, so what who they support or why they are there? Tourists, half and half's, foreigners, again so what?
Get on with your own business match days. The amount of people who won't sing or cheer anymore is getting on my nerves more than the above.
We have all been newbies at a match at some point. They are spending money, so whether then intend it or even realise it, they are directly supporting the club.

If they do annoying things, then that is different. Cheering when the away team score is a no no. Polite clapping i'm not so bothered about. Blocking my view to take pictures on their iPad is a no no. Take a few selfies before /after the match is fine. So if they behave, then they are none of my business.

Maybe if they are welcomed and they have a good time, they might come back or even switch teams. We have to think bigger and there are only so many people from Manchester. So to get bigger support we have to attract new fans from around the country and the world.. I don't care who you are or where you come from. Support City and you are ok by me....

There are bigger issues that need attending to anyway. We need to fuck City Square off. Fucking total embarrassment. It's a football club, not Alton Towers.

Nothing wrong with it really apart from the odd shit band, always enjoy a pre match pint in there.

Agreed, not a bad pre match meet up point.

If a United fan wants to stick his money into our club, then more fool him.

What the fuck is wrong with being able to meet your mates and have a pint at the ground

If I ever bumped into some1 with anything connected to The SWAMP (@ a Home game) they would get slagged off that much & made to feel embarrassed 100%. The world is changing all the time but NO way am I on that subject! CTID

It's EXACTLY like going to a foreign match when you"re on holiday. I've been to both Barcelona and Real Madrid in my time No massive fan of either but as a football fan great to see a big team in action in a great stadium, what's the difference? Why are some Blues so precious and parochial in their attitudes? What harm are these "tourist" fans doing?

well for one there getting tickets for game like united and arsenal, where actual city fans then can't go as it says its sold out, only to see people who aren't fans. Or the fact that tickets are being sold at stupidly high prices to try and get these tourist fans, which again prices out actual city fans. Or that we will end up like united with all the local fans in the pubs and the ground full of glory hunters and tourists, is that what you really want to happen ?

we are nothing like barcelona or real madrid and we have a completely different fan base. A loyal one thats been there for years, whats wrong with not wanting to lose that.

Btw anyone with a half and half scarf can fuck off !! :)
