Today's atmosphere - very raggish????

I was in 107 for our first game and it was fookin shockin!! I tried to get some songs goin and the tossers wouldnt even join in singin bluemoon.I then felt the need to stand and let it be known how shit they were.Near on walked out at half time to watch the rest in the pub.

I was in 111 for the QPR game it was alright but not great. We often got out sung by about 5 qpr lads.Pretty embarrissing really. Was ok in places but you could also hear a pin drop for most of it.We're even goin like the rags when we score, we havent gone as bad as just standing and giving a round of applause, but we hardly go nuts do we?? If it gets any worse and is like this all the time I can see myself struggleing to put my hand in my pocket and pay to sit in silence

I was listening to three clowns sat behind me shouting Dzeko was sh*te and Silva was a w*nker. I turned round and asked him if he had ever heard of Lee Bradbury.
Some City fans need to seriously give their nappers a shake and cut the current team players a bit of slack if one or two are currently under performing compared to last seasons level.

at least the Poznan give us atmosphere. Poznan gone so as the atmosphere.
What happened to *TOGETHER*

Yeah, what the fook happened to the Poznan yesterday!! I could understand after the Yaya goal as we were too busy doin the Yaya dance. I looked around after we scored, cant remember which goal, and no one was doin the Poznan apart from a group of about 6 or 7 a couple of blocks away.

Are we a shy bunch or too cool for school?? I just hope its just down to people not quite gettin into the swing of things just yet. Since we started playing regular Europian football Iv often found myself lookin at the away fans and wishing football in England was like that. What is it what they do which we dont?? Maybe we need to start an Ultras type section in our ground?? I think the solution is to bring in standing sections where anyone can stand (cant get a season ticket in there) so mates etc can stand together. Still go off a points system though and I guess season ticket holders would get first digs as we would get loads of day trippers ect in there if it was first come first serve.

Are people's memories so short? There have been mild atmospheres like yesterday for years and yesterday wasn't nearly as bad s some of them. There was loads of singing in the usual areas in the first half, it went quiet when we wasted chance after chance and QPR scored, increasing the tension and nervousness, just like the same fixture in May when they scored. People comparing it to the swamp don't seem to realise just how quiet it is there now, they don't even seem to have a singing section of any kind now because the crowd has been so watered down by day trippers and tourists.

No we didn't, what an absolute crock of shite.(bold/underlined)

There were a few minor chants from two seperate pockets of QPR Fans. 1 group under the hangover, and the other group lower down.

Let me repeat. I've got no reason to lie. For the first 30 minutes the singning was alsmost non-stop,(111/110/109) with numerous songs being sung. Admitedly not everyone joined in all of those songs. After 30 minutes it went quiet.

The second half wasn't as good, but neither was the football. People became frustrated. There where a few songs sung, but nothing like the 1st half.

Overall it was a decent atmosphere considering the opposition and the amount of fans QPR brought. Regardless if people want to admit it or not, games against Fulham, Wigan, OPR, etc will always be shit atmospheres. Arsenal next up. Note the difference.

-- Sun Sep 02, 2012 8:28 pm --

I think your in denial, mate. There was a small group of lads in the QPR end that out sung us for most part of the game. One was wearing the silly hate.. In our two home games we have had away fans giving it the "ssssshhhhhhh" and we have done nothing about it. Ill admit that at times yesterday was ok but could still massivly improve. Ill also agree that we were good for about the first 30 mins but then sadly went a bit shit.

If that's what you honestly think, so be it.

I beg to differ.

Those that were in 109/110/111 will prove one of us wrong.

I'll take it on the chin.

a small group of lads in the QPR end that out sung us for most part of the game

If anyone stood in 109/110/11 would like to comment, feel free

Yep,like I say I agree with some of what you have said but it went very flat for much of the game. Ill also welcome anyone to back me up when I say that Southampton and QPR fans were giving it the 'ssshhhhhhh' on a number of occations. There was a gobby group of QPR fans that often out sung us . One had a silly hat and we started singin " whose the wanker in the hat".Obviously, when I say 'out sung' I dont mean they sang over our singing but just seemed to do more singing. Like I say, we were ok but have defo been alot better and there was alot of room for improvement..
