Today's atmosphere - very raggish????

The times they are a changing, loads more women and kids coming to games. Yesterday we were so on top first half ,it was just fascinating to watch some of the quality of our passing and fans are taking it in rather than singing. After qpr scored the noise got louder. The support is there when required chaps.

No disrespect Herrock but what difference does women going to the games make? I have been going to games for years and people will tell you that I sing as loud (if not louder*) than many of the men around me!! Bit of a sweeping statement to attribute the changes to women and children. Yesterday around me there were a lot of 'strangers' because some of the regulars were still on holiday.

*ask R.Sole of Salford, he will tell you that some of the Eccles crowd are not always content sitting next to me at away matches because I can deafen them!! And last week at Liverpool a supporter who I didn't know said he would hate to be one of my grandchildren if I shouted at them as loudly as I did there!!!!

Us girls could give you a run for your money when it comes to singing and supporting the lads

let me have a say

been all over the ground as a season ticket holder,east stand with my old fella.awful atmosphere,and the last 3 seasons 2009 to 2011 in the south stand level 2 218,awful atmosphere apart from the bigger games,just moved into the familly stand for this season with my 5 year old,after 2 games,well,its so bad its untrue,just the 1 or 2 small group trying to do something and gets things started all to no avail.Yesterday i saw it for the first time,a young kid with a group of other kids and adults,he was playing on his intendo ds,it is so depressing its untrue, i despair,we're champs and still this sort of thing happens,its only gonna get worse aint it ?
Seems its awful wherever you go.

Maybe you shouldn't go? Or just go away. (to away games I mean where the atmos is far better)

i agree it wasnt the best, we needed to get behind the lads in the second half when we started slow. South stand were ok but east stand corner were extremly quiet, strange.

sorry eccles blue, i didn't mean women in general but just more of a family atmosphere overall. i know you girls can make as much noise as anybody!

Kippax boys and girls were great, south stand were shocking!! I sit in the third tier and can see everyone in the south stand perfectly!! I've always thort the south stand don't make half the noise they claim too. I thought yesterday was a good atmosphere and I always pay lots of attention to the atmosphere and come away not happy with it loads. But yesterday I was happy. Thanks to the singing section. Well done guys and gals.

Don't worry, not all of us preferred it when football was nothing but a sausage fest. I appreciate a woman so much more if they know their football, doubly so if they wear a City shirt.
