Todays Pitch Invasion. City v Swansea

Running on the pitch at the football and stealing someone's phone are 2 completely different things. Absolute numbskull correlation.

Some other laws are in place to repress the people and keep us sucking up to the man.
It was an analogy of people justifying behavior...but you are right, they are different things, that’s why they are called analogies.

He's an airline pilot; they're all bit warped :)
Required. Who else would try to put hundreds of thousands of pounds softly back to earth at 180mph with one hand?! When I think about it sometimes, even I think it’s mental!!

As you know, I was just making an anology, and the reason it came to me was that I had just seen the video of the reporter on the back of the scooter with these lads who were justifying their ASB. There were a series of posts trying to justify why certain punters felt justified in hopping on the pitch...still doing it pages and pages later...that’s all.

Everyone getting their nose out of joint about nothing. I couldn’t care less who does what, but they have to understand the consequences. Doubt it will play well with GMP, especially if it isn’t at the derby, and the video HD definition is ridiculous these days. Is it worth banning or a fine? For what? To say you did it and be a big man amongst small people? Don’t understand the mentality, but then my life revolves around rules. Don’t follow them, people die.

FFS!

If you don't want to invade the pitch stay at your seat.

The last two occasions have been brilliant.

Memories and picture's like those don't often come around again. Google them.

Jesus, sometimes I really think our support would rather have the orchestrated shite we suffered at Wembley the other Week, rather than pure emotion, euphoria and jubilation from our fans.

But don't worry, I predict plans have already been put into place by the club to stop the repeat of last 2 PL winning pitch invasions.

The safety of the players and H&S issues are at the forefront of their minds.

Absolutely disgusting. How on earth did you cope with these scenes?

Perfect post.

And to be honest, the fashion in which the last 2 titles were won, I would put a large sum on the newer players having seen that and would have loved the pitch invasion. I think they would expect it.

Nothing says unity like a pitch invasion!

in 2012 yes after all those years without winning the league you can understand why people went on the pitch, 2014 yes a bit like 2012 as we won it on the last day but now no, it makes us look like small time team, we are not a small time team so let the players enjoy the moment and we can watch as vin holds the prem cup up

In my experience, the best way to guarantee a pitch invasions is to tell everyone not to do it.

It's the same with booing the CL anthem, which I never did, until UEFA complained, just prior to the game in Seville.

As for winning the Premier League, there's a good chance of a total anti climax, with our rivals dropping points when City aren't playing (just like the Keegan promotion season)

Just what I was thinking as I read this thread

I don’t know if we did it in 1937 but we did it at Newcastle in 1968, when we went up against Charlton in 1986, when we went up at Bradford in 1989, when we went up at Blackburn in 2000, when we went up at home to Birmingham in 2002, as well as the last two league titles.

It’s a bit of a City tradition.
