It’s not right v left — it’s centrists vs extremists. It’s pragmatists vs one-size-fits all idealists. Americans vs cult members. Those who have ideas vs those who have “beliefs” (cf. “Dogma”, and Chris Rock’s commentary on the topic). Pragmatist, American centrists “fixate” on the danger extremists proffer as “solutions”.
