Tom Ritchie ("City 'til I Cry" fanzine) RIP - Funeral today 14th October

Awful news. I never met Tom in person, but interacted with him on here (@Soulboy) and on Twitter. Seemed like a really good bloke, and used to love his fanzine back in the day. Condolences to his friends and family.

Ric he was one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet.

I met Tom outside White Hart line years ago. We had a good chat and he was really pleasant. I always used to buy a copy of ctic on my away day travels.

Last time I saw Tom was outside Deepdale when Pearce was in charge. Seem to remember the fanzine ceased not long after AD arrived... as there wasn't enough to moan about anymore!

Did not know the guy but looking at these posts is goes without saying that his many friends and family have suffered a terrible loss.

Been getting updates last few months on his health and a shock this morning one of the very best and had many a happy away day with him mid 90s to early 00s and stood in the rain next to him selling fanzines outside the north stand back in the day. Will be missed x

Woke up this morning to a Facebook post from Tom’s wife informing everyone he’d passed away. I knew he was ill, but given that he was still posting photos of himself out with his family until very recently, I had no idea of the severity of his illness and his death came as a shock. Like many others on here, I bought “City til I cry” every month and enjoyed it immensely. He gave a voice to City fans at a time when we didn’t really have one and he did it with great humour. A top Blue and a sad, sad loss to our fanbase. RIP Tom
