This is devastating news. I knew Tom well from years gone by and we even went to Lokeren together. That is a story in itself as I was supposed to pick him up in Rawtenstall, but he'd booked his flight 24 hours before me so was waiting in the cold on Burnley Rd at 3am for a lift that was never coming!!

Top top blue and his fanzine was unparalleled. Saw him coming out of a game a few years ago with his lad and not seem him since.

He can't be more than 60 but always looked a few years younger.

This is devastating news. Tom was a legendary City fan. His knowledge of the club and the time he devoted were unbelievable. He was a top fella too. He will be missed dreadfully. Taken at such a young age. RIP Tom x

Thank you for posting this pic. I'm terrible with names but pretty good with faces so I did wonder if I'd known him once the OP mentioned the Rochdale CSA meetings, there weren't many of us who attended those at the time but definitely recognise him now I've seen him. Very sad. RIP.

Very sad news - Tom Ritchie, who produced the fanzine "City 'til I Cry" has passed away after a long illness.
Tom will be known to many Blues who attended games at Maine Road as well those of us who regularly went to Rochdale CSA branch meetings in the late 90's / early 2000's.
Thoughts are with his family and close friends.
