Tommy Docherty RIP

Managed United in my youth.. He built a great side back then.

He played football like it was meant to be played and it pains me to say but Coppell, Hill, Pearson and the like were good to watch and to be fair they didn't come across as ***** unlike most of the current rags do..

Tommy was a good manager with a great personality.

He was impossible to dislike ..

Sad to hear he's passed away..
Spot on. I could have wrote that.

Walked into marple bridge PO about 5 years ago and he was in there holding court with 4-5 others. He asked who i supported and we had the crack for a fee mins
decent fella and loved him with James H. Wouldnt happen in todays sanitised world

RIP THE doc
Sat next to him once in Shapers Barbers Romiley , he was funny as fuck . Complaining he’s not been honoured yet in the New Years Honours list .The barbers were having a good craic with him taking the piss. Proper character. RIP

Very Very sad news.. Spoke to him many times in Marple over the last 10 years and he was a great bloke and a bloody character, RIP the DOC and thank you!

Getting sacked just after winning the FA Cup for shagging the physio’s wife probably had something to do with it. He did a decent job there in his few years as manager
Morals were higher then, he'd not be sacked now for shagging around.

Never met him but a friend of mine saw him in the Waldorf doing 'commentary' via the TV on the piss rather than at the swamp.
