Tommy Docherty RIP

I went into the Piccadilly studio with James H and the Doc one Saturday through the Blue Print fanzine. Was determined to give him a hard time but he was so funny and also couldnt disagree with a word he said.
He lived In the High Peak area and had only got his drivers licence back recently - he got the studio lackey 3 times to get bottles of bubbly which he shared with us and then drove home
RIP
Lived in Charlesworth, bumped into him a few times in a local off licence on his way home.

Seemed a decent bloke.

He always referred to our striker Paul Stewart as "The boy, Stewarty" on the radio.

He used to get his newspapers from the shop on Hall Street in Offerton when I was a paper boy in 1977 :O

Really friendly and down to earth guy, he used to tell me when I grew up I’d realize the bad decision I’d made to support City !

Rip doc some great one liners, can't remember him ever slaging us off as a club
You obviously didn't hear ,"" city's end of season video top 20 great throwin,s ," shagged his mates misses can't believe he never got the Wales job

Was a sound bloke. His favourite time in football was at Chelsea, best player he saw Tom Finney and best signing Steve Coppell. Thoughts to Mary and their family. Surprised nobody has mentioned his son Mick playing for us.
Remember Mick at right back 76/77 when they did us at Maine rd after Tueart gave us the lead too ! Don't think he played many games.
