People like to come up with things like this, but we're not a charity. Stuff like this doesn't exist, surely.

I said it'd be nice, rather than something I seriously think would happen.

That said, I don't think it would be necessarily a charitable act to pay extra for Kroos in these circumstances. It's probably worth a premium to get the player we want whilst also preventing a direct rival from significantly strengthening (assuming the deals are even interrelated).

His movements were fluid and I don't think he lost the ball all game even when weaving through 2-3 players. There is a DM Kroos and there is this playmaker Kroos.

The Kroos love is strange. It seems everyone has turned a blind eye to his laziness on defense. I guess in a way, he'd be Yaya without the goals. Slightly better possession, slightly worse goalscoring. About the same defensive effort. Little!

Absolute crap. He stopped a certain goal at the end of the match by being the first one back when France broke. Tail end of the match, desperate for a goal and he was the man chasing back in defence.

He's never been short in effort either. He's not amazing defence wise but it's not through lack of effort.

Why is it ok for 26 year old Kroos to jog around & barely do a tap of work when he loses the ball, never shoot & create no chances but Yaya gets fucking slaughtered for it ?

Pogba was getting in blocks in his own box, passing the ball around in midfield & creating stuff in the German box. He was constantly passing through Kroos' area on his way.

If Yaya turned in exactly the same performance for City as Kroos did for Germany tonight, he would get fucking murdered on here. Yet this guy is praised. He had two minders, exactly as I have been begging Pellegrini to do with Yaya all season.

Kroos in a two, vs Liverpool, would be eaten alive, just like Yaya. But if we sign him, we will never ever see that. Yet Yaya had to do it most games.

Why can't we give him a try, loafing around spraying passes like Kroos does & doing fuck all else ? Yaya has so much more ability.

Well, you are about to get an earful about how he stopped a goal bound shot twds the end of the game. So therefore, he plays massive defense.

Like I said, what I saw was Yaya without the goalscoring threat, and a little better completion. But what do I know.
