Well Kroos was playing as a 10 so it would be strange if he wasn't.

Can was the most forward CM. Not Kroos. Just check the heat map. I don't like using #s coz they mean nothing. Kroos was slightly left and slightly ahead of Shweini. Often sitting to his left. Can was ahead of both. Centrally. If we use a triangle, Can was the tip. Kroos the left bottom and Shweini the right bottom slightly deeper than Kroos.

So label those with #s. He had no reason to be any les s aggressive. Had it been the Turkish German playing instead of Krois, you'd have not noticed a distinct difference BTW his effort and Can's.

You failed to miss out the part where he's seven years older and would now struggle to get a full 90 mins out of him in the Prem

Hard to say it because he's been a true legend in our rise but all good things come to an end.....

But he has been overweight & overworked. We have not seen Yaya, trim, & hanging back in space knocking the ball around like Kroos does.

Souness said two seasons ago that we needed to do this with Yaya as he is not going to be able to continue as he was.

He is a lovely passer of the ball but out of posession he's poor, like Yaya.

So what if we give Yaya the same license as we are willing, it appears, to give Kroos ?

Wow. Someone should tell Low that Kroos wasn't playing as a number 10 because here on the official teamsheet he's submitted to UEFA, he's got him down as a 10 in a 4231.

If we are "stuck" with Yaya hopefully Pep gets the most from him because the ability is there still IMO. But he has to adapt a bit and that has a bit of risk.

I'd prefer Kross if it was a choice between the 2 because he's proven in this role. Then obviously there's the age and the possible agent dramatics.
