left work in Bradford at 4, bailed out of the m62 at hudders and got home nr Stalybridge at 5.30. wouldn't like to be tryin it now.

This is 47000 people in gale force winds. Trains have been cancelled across the board. How often does that happen?

I'm no health and safety freak but if there are red warnings, trains completely cancelled and trees blown over and you think it's safe for football, let alone the farce it will make of the game.
 
At the ground, very windy but will be no problem inside. Hunkering down in MacDonald s over the road atm.
 
It took about 5 hours to rage through South london this afteroon, so whenever it started in Manchester add on 5 and it should be clearing.
Mind you - 106mph winds in Wales, shite that's bad. Not heard a mention of "hurricane" on the news but Crewe station has been evacuated and all Virgin west coast trains cancelled.
