I think you're scaring yourselves a little too much over Newcastle. We went there and crushed them 3-0 when we were in the middle of our freefall under AVB when we needed a win. If you win that game you basically win the title. They're nothing special, they've just been good at dispatching the league fodder this season. If you had go to Anfield and win I'd be worried because those pricks will raise their game to spite you.

I would love nothing more than to be going to Anfield next week instead of Newcastle, you think Liverpool would stand in the way of us pipping United to the title? I think your a little harsh on Newcastle to be fair.

They have only lost 2 games at home from 17 and only conceded 15 goals in the process. 6 of those goals came in the 2 defeats to West Brom and Chelsea. They've only conceded 9 goals in the remaining 15 games, they are very well organised and are capable of scoring goals. Sure they lost to Wigan, but that was on the back of 6 wins on the trot which is not an easy thing to do in this league.

But were they top of the Premier League form table when you crushed them 3-0? No, i didn't think so!

Re: Chelsea v Newcastle

I really don't want to play Newcastle on the back of two defeats on their last home game of the season. They'll really be at it I think.

Draw is okay for me.

Re: Chelsea v Newcastle

Find it hard to decide on this one. either way they will still want to sign off with a good result in their last home game of the season that is what bothers me more. I cant bring myself to wish injury on any body so thats out just hope its a fast knackering encounter with some cards flying . who is reffing it? anyway its in our hands at the moment and under the circumstances it is the best we can hope for. COME ON CITY

Re: Chelsea v Newcastle

great, have Chelsea/Newcastle on and cut to Bolton 30 seconds before kick-off as he's being applauded, and then go back to showing the game people want to watch.

Re: Chelsea v Newcastle

A Chelsea win is the best result.

if that happens NUFC will have to attack us and that means we should get chances

I was hoping NUFC would get 4th, but a City title win and Newcastle getting 4th look like they are mutually exclusive

Re: Chelsea v Newcastle

Tbh if Chelsea beat them they will be up for our game even more IMO they be out of the top 4 race won't want to lose 3 on the trot and last home game

But if Newcastle win the be still in the race for top 4 they might be a bit more careful in attack that just fuck if we've nothing to lose
