He won three elections , minimum wage etc , he didnt just take us to war
You do know there is no such thing as hell don’t you? All the info is on the religion threadTony Blair to be given most senior knighthood in new year honours list
The former prime minister will be made Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter by the Queenwww.theguardian.com
And rightly so. Did one hell of a job. And still continues to do so. Fuck it, give one to Camron and Epstein also.
No shame at all by the Royal institute. And this is why I always say fuck em. Hope she and her fam burn in hell.
This is where I get confused with the Labour supporters on here. It doesn't matter how many shades of criminality Blair was, the fact he kept the Tories out is everything. That is a strange way of looking at it tbhIt’s always a hoot to see the handful of absolute out and out Tory haters on here kaz, constantly turn in the one man Labour put out who could genuinely stop them from being in power.
He thoroughly deserves a Knighthood given what he did and achieved. By all means argue the honours system but we live in a world where winning a few games of tennis gets you a gong so happy for the man who kept the Tories out for three terms to get one.
Yes, it is a strange way of looking at things, but not as bad as the dishonest way current Cabinet ministers have consistently defied the Ministerial Code with impunity guaranteed from a Prime Minister that is well known for his dishonesty, and has been sacked from numerous positions as a result. This is where I get confused with the Labour supporters on here. I can only speak as an individual. This current government is a shambles and very few in this country have any faith in it. That is a very worrying situation for democracy. I am not defending them.Yes, it is a strange way of looking at things, but not as bad as the dishonest way current Cabinet ministers have consistently defied the Ministerial Code with impunity guaranteed from a Prime Minister that is well known for his dishonesty, and has been sacked from numerous positions as a result.
The Tory party lied through their teeth about Brexit, tried to illegally prorogue Parliament, tried to change the rules to protect a bent MP caught with his pants down regarding corruption, and have the backing of a right wing press so determined to hang onto power they back the removal of the BBC licence fee if they aren't nice to the tories.
You can think all you like about Tony Blair, and I wasn't happy about his lies regarding the war either, but how you can support this shower of incompetent idiots now running the country is beyond me.
This is where I get confused about Tory supporters. They back a government that is destroying the country, they can't see it, mutter to themselves it's better than Labour being in charge, and vote for them come what may.
Not wanting to get into an argument here but has Blair been found guilty of such claims?I can only speak as an individual. This current government is a shambles and very few in this country have any faith in it. That is a very worrying situation for democracy. I am not defending them.
My point was about a poster and other Labourites who think he is a good guy because he kept the tories out.
Whilst being a war criminal is bad it is only second to the kidnap and torture of an innocent UK citizen. Blair and Bush were complicit in that and that is why he should be in jail rather than given the highest honour in the land.
