Tony Blair

Yes, it is a strange way of looking at things, but not as bad as the dishonest way current Cabinet ministers have consistently defied the Ministerial Code with impunity guaranteed from a Prime Minister that is well known for his dishonesty, and has been sacked from numerous positions as a result.

The Tory party lied through their teeth about Brexit, tried to illegally prorogue Parliament, tried to change the rules to protect a bent MP caught with his pants down regarding corruption, and have the backing of a right wing press so determined to hang onto power they back the removal of the BBC licence fee if they aren't nice to the tories.

You can think all you like about Tony Blair, and I wasn't happy about his lies regarding the war either, but how you can support this shower of incompetent idiots now running the country is beyond me.

This is where I get confused about Tory supporters. They back a government that is destroying the country, they can't see it, mutter to themselves it's better than Labour being in charge, and vote for them come what may.

Yeah we have an incredibly long and busy thread for trashing the cunts in.

Blair……..

Not wanting to get into an argument here but has Blair been found guilty of such claims?
Abdul Hakim Belhaj received a formal apology for his 2004 'rendition' but no compensation.
His wife was paid £500,000 compensation by the British Government. She was heavily pregnant when they were both forcibly removed from Thailand, flown to Libya where we had an agreement with Colnel Ghaddafi (oh come on)
They were tortured in Libya by MI6/CIA operatives. Belhaj was sentenced to death before being released after 6 years. His wife was released shortly before she gave birth and returned to England. It was thought he was a terrorist.
Blair said he did not know anything about it. The British Prime minister did not know what his own security services were doing !!!! Does he think we are stupid ?
A deal with Ghaddafi ! A man who had been funding the IRA for 2 decades.

Of course not.

The left hate him because he wasn’t a dyed in the wool socialist and the right hate him because he was an internationalist and strong proponent of the EU.

So they all use Iraq as a stick to beat him with whilst ignoring or downplaying his multiple lasting achievements.

The best PM in the last 30 years.

To be fair Iraq is a fucking big stick.
He killed thousands but we got the minimum wage so yeh, fair do's

Iraq was happening anyway. Bush was always going to do it.
The decision was whether to stand with the Americans or not.
And if he is such a brilliant politician he could have said no.
He didn't.
He sent our ill equipped soldiers to their death. Servicemen are having to live with their horrific injuries on a disability pension whilst he makes millions.
And he was complicit in kidnap and torture before Iraq.

But he kept the tories out

Just proves what a load of corrupt bollocks the honours system is.

Even after the damning Chilcot enquiry in 2016 he still gets a knighthood.
