Fuck, that's shitty news. I know Tony & some of his family from way back when he was involved in junior football in Tamworth. Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Incidentally, he was a right rum one back in the day ;-)

Brilliant keeper and as a professional when Ball blew him out - nothing wrong in going to the Scum for the cash.
 
I,m sure I remember reading a story by TC that he,d never forgive City for how he was treated after an injury which resulted in him getting a trapped nerve in his leg and coming close to amputation.(Not sure how much was exaggerated by the press). Thought he was a great keeper and so did a lot of other managers at the time,loads singing his praises in a frustrated tone.

Had a couple of nights out back in the day with him and a couple of the other players,the truth is city treated him in the end shockingly.
