TC definitely the best keeper I've seen at City. 91-94 he was immaculate. Plus his lose the plot moments were spectacular too!

As much as I didn't like seeing him in the United training gear on the bench - imagine if you (as a Manchester City fan) played for Birmingham for 5 years...they then replaced you with an inferior player and tried to force you and your settled family to move to a club 150 miles away. Then Villa come in for you.
I know what I'd do.

TC was a brilliant keeper, one of the best I've ever seen, had everything, an absolute travesty he never got the recognition he deserved.

Also had a bit of an edge to him which I liked ,always remember back in the day he was part of that little group of shrinking violets such as Mick Harford, Noel Blake, Mark Dennis, Pat Van Den Hauwe, Steve Kinsey etc, book would be a good read just for that I reckon.

Just seen an advert for this book and was the first I've heard of it. I will be going out to buy it tomorrow. TC was my first ever favourite City player as a kid and I wanted to be a goalkeeper. I went to the Sondico goalkeeper schools at that 5-a-side place at Ardwick and TC always came along and gave us some coaching as well as posing for photos and autographs. To think I thought that awful generic Umbro goalie kit was the dogs bollox haha (below). The last school I went to, TC was frozen out at City and I was gutted. A few of us asked him what was going on and I got the impression he was gutted too - all he would say was that he was 'truly worried about the direction the club was going under those two egotistical clowns as it was only one way' (paraphrasing), meaning Lee and Ball. Prophetic indeed.

I was as devastated as anyone when he moved to United but from reading titbits here I can see why it happend and being grown up realise it was his career and he had a family to look after. I'll certainly buy him a pint if I ever bump into him again!

Steve Kinsey? Shrinking violet? Played for Brum? ha ha ha ha ha

Loved TC and always rated him as one of the best of his era. He's on Talksport now and just heard him talking about why he never played for England. If thats true then Swales is an even bigger twat, and i didnt think that possible.
