Top 105 Guitarists - The Winner page 33

That's a popular choice for greatest guitar solo ever; although not mine.

Gilmour was in my top ten though, and on guitar sound alone, he'd be knocking on the door of top 3.

Guess it's the battle of the Jameses for top spot. Assuming Jimi wins.
I agree. Can't abide that song. His stuff on Animals blows it away.

Think all mine were in,surprisingly as I didn’t give it a lot of thought and definitely
got my order a bit wrong.

Jimi Hendrix

Eric Clapton

Paul Kossoff

Mick Ralphs

Mick Ronson

Eddie Van Helen

Stevie Ray Vaughan

Mike Campbell

Johnny Marr

Gary Moore

Not sure how many of my 10 got in in the end but mine were:

Bernard Sumner
Robert Kodym
Martin Barre
James Dean Bradfield
Peter Terrell
Vini Reilly
Martyn Bates
John Frusciante
Pete Townshend
Jimmy Page
John F is an interesting shout tbh. He wasn’t on my list but I can appreciate him. His sometimes ‘less is more’ approach is really seductive I think.

If anyone cares...these were my favourites....i should have put more thought into specific rankings tbh

1 - David Gilmour…Pink Floyd
2 - Johnny Marr… the Smiths
3 - Angus Young…AC/DC
4 - Billy Strings
5 - Peter Hayes… Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
6 - Simon Neill…Biffy Clyro
7 - John Squire… Stone Roses
8 - Slash…Guns n Roses
9 - Prince
10 - Rich Robinson…The Black Crowes
Rich Robinson somehow completely forgot about him.
If I remembered him he would have had a chance of getting in.
