Thanks for organising OP. If there is any take away from this I suppose it is the average age of the contributors! That and / or there hasn't really been a decent guitarist who has grasped people's imagination en mass for years.

Do yourself a favour though, pick a guitarist from the list you've never heard of, and play one of his tracks. Nothing to lose.
