good call on Bonnie Raitt...a glaring omission from my list...I may however be the only vote for Sister Rosetta Tharpe..

Nice choice. I am not really up on female opera singers although I recognise her as probably the most famous. Mine cover mainly rock, singer songwriters and americana with one or two more eclectic choices.
 
Well I got Sophie Hunger on the list but considering she just played a gig in Manchester last year I'm guessing you're all out of towners in this thread lol

Better than me I only knew another 5 on top of my own and even then only because her name is in an REM song 'Maria Callas' lol

I just had the misfortune of looking at one of the entrants, dear lord DO NOT LOOK UP ARCA
