totally underwhelmed

Not sure about disloyal but to make a negative comment based on a game away against a team that finished 4th with players who have had no time to settle in the team or gain experience of the pace of the Premiership shows stupidity if not disloyalty and I doubt posters on here are stupid so that only leaves an anti Mancini agenda. Make the same comments in December if nothing has changed and I might just agree with you. But not after the first game of the season.

Sorry mate, but nobody on here is saying Mancini is shit, or that he should be sacked or anything even close to that. But fuck me, if after a competitive league game, first or last of the season, we can't discuss tactics, team selection, the manager, the players, whatever....then Ric should shut this place down......

If it's OK for some to state the manager get it wrong then why is it not OK for me to point out that Mancini had it tough yesterday and got us the point under difficult circumstances?

Whats the point mate, you aren't contributing... you're putting words in other peoples mouth and making sweeping generalisations and presumptions.

The 'excuses' are always the same, yet no-one takes notice when someone tries to counter act them.

Instead, like almost every other BMer, you've jumped in, not bothered to read anything, made asumptions no one has said and the whole thing starts again.

Fantastic.

I'm genuinely sorry.

If I'd have know sticking up for our manager would get me so much trouble I'd have just logged off.

Obviously my opinion isn't valid and unless I'm willing to judge Mancini on one game and refuse to accept that Mancini's hands were tied to a certain degree, I'm not welcome here.

Message received loud and clear.

Haha, a. You're not genuinely sorry.

b. You're not sticking up for the manager, this isn't an either/or scenario, you're just taking the piss very passively

c. No-one's opinion isn't valid, but the way its put across will give it less credibility and finally

d. I'm not judging mancini on one game, i'm seeing new players carry out the exact same instructions as last year. It may be that this is a long road that will end with us winning in this style, so far though it's proved unsuccessful since Mancini took over.

Although i'm lmost certain you knew all that already ;)

Don't insult my intelligence and try and take some sort of pathetic moral high ground. You turned up in this thread and talked shite for about three pages. In fact, you've made one serious post about the discussion at hand. The meat and potatoes of which was that "it was the first game of the season and the team weren't fit". Thanks for the newsflash Mr Clough.

Brilliant result yesterday. Yes we were lucky but we will get much much better than that. The players are still strangers, most of them look nothing like match fit. Boatang and maybe Milner to come.

If we had got that result last season at spurs we would be in the champions league this season, it has to be looked at in that context. We are basically 1 point and 3 gd better off vs last season thats the way I am looking at it.

TBH I have no problem with the negative destroy football against the top sides if it means we get results out of games we would other wise loose. Obviously if we play ultra defensive in these games and still loose well questions will be asked.

Arsenal will have been happy with a point at Anfield, sometimes a draw is a good result.

I just wanted to add some balance to the argument.

Mancini gets so much stick where Hughes was given free reign it's untrue.

If Mancini shipping out the shit players and earning us a difficult point at a team who usually stuffs us is bad then I'm waiting for the good and suspect I'll always be waiting.

Just as the press say 'Ade is lazy' and City fans stop watching him and just take this as gospel. So too are we now just accusing Mancini of stuff we've read or heard 'Lawro' say on TV.

I'll leave this thread now and let the moaners win.

I'll be the one weeping at COMS should we fail to win anything this season, I'll be easy to spot amongst all the celebrations as some people are proven right on Bluemoon which, after all, is all that matters to most who post on here.

I'm all for discussion but this is just Mancini slagging.

It's a shame that fans like me are in the minority on here but I'll never apologise for wanting City to be the best instead of being my own little 'shitty City' plaything.

I Belive the problem we try to express is: we have not got a point at WHL for ages (six years i think) and now we finally break that trend, ppl are moaning? the tactics obviously worked better than previous ones.

City are becoming a very very hard team to bet, and have a well orginized team and a realable defence is the core of every top class teams. you need that, to build an awesome attack upon. or els we will draw against shit teams and always lose away.

When Mancini feel our core and defence work, im convinced he will take care of the attack if needed.

TMQ... would you like to borrow a shovel to take tothe salt as opposed to the traditional pinch.

Cedrtain posters on here are always right, cant take another point of view or feedback. I cannot understand the people who expected us to go out and score 3 or 4 against Spurs.... after all everyone else is going to win there this season.

Everyone seems happy with the point

Difference of opinion over the quality of our play.

It must improve, but then it's the 1st game with injuries and absences to contend with and we played a strong team.

ONO said it all for me

If you don't think the fitness of the players is important then fine.

No need for personal insults but it that's how you choose to conduct yourself then that's fine too.

The score could of been 5 or 6/nil yesterday, it wasn't and Hart is your keeper so that has to be taken into account but i wouldn't start talking like you're going to be hardly conceding goals yet.
