Clearly you're losing the plot. There's no snide agendas mate, and no idiots. Just City supporters trying to have a discussion about Mancini and his tactics. You're pissing all over it and you keep bringing up Mark Hughes as if anyone actually gives a fuck about him now...

Fine. I can take a hint.

My viewpoint that things aren't quite panic stations yet is not welcome and unless I'm going to lose all perspective and knowledge of football then I'm not allowed to join in the discussion.

As for Hughes being irrelevant, I'd agree but if we're bashing Mancini after 1 draw then why not mention that Sparky boy specialised in terribly entertaining consecutive draws?

Jeez we have played one game against a top side with players who have only just come back from WC duty and trained for about a week together. Some fans on here need a reality check or they should wait until they know something about the game before posting.

Don't say that!

You'll be hounded and beaten!

Just agree that Mancini is shit and that we should have won 3-0 yesterday. For your sake, do it.

And against - Hull, Bolton, Wigan, Fulham, Birmingham and the mighty Burnley some fans have a short memory.

I was very happy with yesterdays result, I did not expect us to go to the lane and rape Spuds.

I thought the players especially the new players looked a bit shellshocked in the first 30 min, once we settled down we looked much better, in the second half we actually had periods were we ran the midfield.

Yaya and Silva looked very good once the realised what tempo the prem is played at.

I really dont understand people, who attack our maneger for being to negative, do they expect us to just have to show up and the opposition will roll over?

Mancini will make us very tough to beat, and once our new players get settled I see great things in our future.

(sorry for the positivety)

If you want to join the discussion then join it. Go back and have a read of your contributions so far. All you're doing is flaming posters and you're much smarter than that if nothing else.

I'll repeat what I said earlier - people were disappointed with Mancini's more circumspect tactics last season. Yesterday we played the same way, and therefore it follows that people are going to comment on it. It's not a crime and it's hardly being disloyal to City, even though you keep implying that it is.

We were hardly in a position to have a go at Spurs yesterday, they had practically the same 11 playing as last season with no new buys to integrate - this was a team who comfortably did the double over us last year and finished above us.

Had Boateng been available and played up against Bale it would have been an entirely different game.

Having said that though it certainly wasn't the side I would have picked, a 4-4-1-1 with Carlos in behind Ade would have been my choice, however that's Bob's job not mine.

Went for a point, got a point.

Happy days.

Now you've mentioned Mark Hughes! You're not allowed to do that!

Slagging off 10th place Hughes just shows you to be immature as does bringing up his weekly failings and shit results.

In the name of equality we like to compare Mancini to 'myth man'. Myth man is a manager who wins all his games 10-0 and does so with Ireland and Bellamy in the team.

Until Mancini can compete with Myth man, he's on a hiding to nothing.

-- Sun Aug 15, 2010 6:28 pm --

Yesterday we had a lot of things against us and I think it was legitimate to set up conservatively.

If we went out to attack yesterday we'd have been soundly beaten before half time.

If people refuse to take important factors like player fitness into account then any score line will always be disappointing.

Not sure about disloyal but to make a negative comment based on a game away against a team that finished 4th with players who have had no time to settle in the team or gain experience of the pace of the Premiership shows stupidity if not disloyalty and I doubt posters on here are stupid so that only leaves an anti Mancini agenda. Make the same comments in December if nothing has changed and I might just agree with you. But not after the first game of the season.

Hey, Ringo :)

This guy has just said what I'm trying to stay.

That's all.

The Walrus.

Whats the point mate, you aren't contributing... you're putting words in other peoples mouth and making sweeping generalisations and presumptions.

The 'excuses' are always the same, yet no-one takes notice when someone tries to counter act them.

Instead, like almost every other BMer, you've jumped in, not bothered to read anything, made asumptions no one has said and the whole thing starts again.

Fantastic.

Fantastic.

I'm genuinely sorry.

If I'd have know sticking up for our manager would get me so much trouble I'd have just logged off.

Obviously my opinion isn't valid and unless I'm willing to judge Mancini on one game and refuse to accept that Mancini's hands were tied to a certain degree, I'm not welcome here.

Message received loud and clear.

Sorry mate, but nobody on here is saying Mancini is shit, or that he should be sacked or anything even close to that. But fuck me, if after a competitive league game, first or last of the season, we can't discuss tactics, team selection, the manager, the players, whatever....then Ric should shut this place down......
