Did we play for a point away to Burnley last season?

What happened when Lord Hughes of Salford pitted his wits against Burnley at home?

I know absence makes the heart grow fonder but in some cases it does not like no one misses having the shits, no one misses an unfortunate disease and no fucker should miss Mark fucking Hughes the draw specialist.

another selective example using burnley, bob was negative and played for a draw everywhere, home or away, regardless of the opposition, inc Hull ffs.
you all keep bringing hughes up, i find that odd as the people who liked the guy never mentions him.
bob and his dour football are just his way, nothing to do with hughes in any way shape or form.then again its a good deflection for you to use when bob yet again bores the fuck out of everyone with another totally inept display in a game of "football".

No offence De Niro but before the Valencia game you were going on about how worried you were. After the game you suggested we'd barely concede a goal all season.

If we beat Liverpool, I'm sure you'll be predicting 36 consecutive league wins. Should we lose, you'll blame it all on Mancini and predict relegation.

I was bored out of my skull when we

Beat Wolves away 3-0
Beat Blackburn Home 4-1
Beat Chelsea away 4-2
Beat Burnley away 6-1
Beat Birmingham Home 5-1
Beat Villa Home 3-1

25 goals in six games... cant get much more negative than that...lets get rid...

FFS!!!
isnt STATS wonderful?

i must say, Mancini did a piss poor job trying to get a draw here, yeah lets get rid..

11 players behind the ball at corners sums up Mancini. Defence first at the detriment of our attack (or lack of.)

At the end of the transfer window we will know if the negativity is a lack of trust in the players that until he has his side moulded is just security or, as I fear anti football first.

The guy needs to have faith in our capabilities and not worry so much about the other team as to set ours up to neutralise or hold on.

For the first 45 we looked like a side defending a 1.0 lead in the 90th minute.

Christ, there are some people just itching to start a 'Mancini Out' thread, but no one wants to jump first. For Christ's sake give the team some time, at least the next two games!!!
I interpret it as loyal fans desperately wanting to believe that 30 years and more of waiting are coming to an end.

I was however bored out of my brains with.

Lost the rags away 3.1
Lost to the rags at home 0.1
Lost to Tottenham at home 0.1
Lost at home and away to Everton 0.2
Lost to Hull away 1.2
Drew with Liverpool 0.0
Drew with Arsenal 0.0

Works both ways and those games were far more important to us.

The game was neutralised entirely with the occasional move forward.

''Totally underwhelmed''.....what the hell is going on here.

We are 90 minutes or should I say 5400 seconds into the season.
Boateng injured.
Kolarov injured and should not have been playing.
Tevez and Silva with just a few days of training between them.
No Balotelli.

First competitive game they have played together and incredible judgements being made on style of play and tactics used. Maybe, just maybe, after seven or eight home and away games we could make some realistic judgements about the team and how we are playing with a fully fit squad.

Just when I am getting excited about City this forum manages to kill my optimism and send me back into depression. I need a large whisky!!!.

i also said we'd just about stay up on 38points after 38 0-0 draws. i can't see us losing i really can't but ffs we have a tremendous squad of quality players, bob uses those quality players to little effect, these are top notch players and we should take the shackles off, let the opposition worry about us for a change.
i think we should keep the jury out untill we've played a few games, let the new players "bed in" after that we'll all have a better idea of the shape of the team.

bottom line is and i dont think its too much to ask.

i want to be entertained for the now obscene amount of dosh i fork out to watch my beloved city up and down the country.

Not to mention how disrespectful all of this is towards Spurs. A team that finished higher than us last season. A team playing champions league football.

Believe it or not, they don't exist just so we can steamroll them twice a season.

-- Sun Aug 15, 2010 8:50 pm --

I agree, give it time and see what happens.

If by Xmas we're not playing good football and the results are poor then we can panic.

Until then though it's not even up for debate.

Had we had a full squad yesterday, fully fit and raring to go then just maybe some of the moaners would have a point but even then that's discounting the fact that Spurs might just be the better team based on recent meetings and league positions.

A lot of teams will go to Spurs and lose with a fully fit squad this season, Utd and Chelsea will struggle there but that doesn't mean that neither of them will finish in the top 4.

Okay Svennis..... we also

Beat Wigan 3-0
Beat United 2-1
Beat Fulham 2-1
Beat Scunthorpe 4-2...... wait a minute.

My point was you can hardly call a team that scores as many goals as it did negative (IMO) which is what many on here are hell bent on doing.

Just give Mancini time to get his players playing his game and then after say... 10 matches revisit the question of negativity.. thats all (some) people are asking.
