Tottenham (A) - Pre-match thread

A helluva lot of fussing going on on this thread. Forget the pitch, let’s just have the game. In virtually every game I’ve ever played in and watched, the best team generally has won, be it Norbury basin, Offerton rec or Maine Road.

I don’t see the pitch being a problem. If we fail to win, it won’t be because of a bit of mud on the pitch.

The pitch shouldn’t be a big factor. We’re playing Spurs not a long ball bunch of cloggers like Cardiff or Burnley

They’ll have their own problems with the poor pitch but I expect us to handle it better as basically we have better more intelligent players than they have

I thought Spurs were the dirtiest side to play at The Etihad last season... but City will win 3-1 anyway

Yeah they did some terrible fouls

But I was referring really to them being a footballing team rather than a Cardiff (or rags) who will bypass the midfield by just hoofing it up

Shocking pitch, but this team is special and I would like to think we can still win despite the conditions

I'll take any scruffy win and three points along with Spurs never lifting a trophy in their new stadium.

One's a given, obviously, but the pitch may scupper the three points.
