The pitch shouldn’t be a big factor. We’re playing Spurs not a long ball bunch of cloggers like Cardiff or Burnley OR SCUM UTD!

They’ll have their own problems with the poor pitch but I expect us to handle it better as basically we have better more intelligent players than they have
Edited for you! ;0)

A helluva lot of fussing going on on this thread. Forget the pitch, let’s just have the game. In virtually every game I’ve ever played in and watched, the best team generally has won, be it Norbury basin, Offerton rec or Maine Road.
Must admit you've watched different football to me then, I've watched quite a few games where the best team hasn't won down the years and bad surfaces tend to be a leveller ie they improve the less good teams chances even if they don't equalise them.
Still it is what it is and we have to play there.

Checking in from Philadelphia, NFL players report that the field was not really up to NFL standards. That does not bode well for having it playable up to PL standards. A crying shame to ruin the pitch for the beautiful game to a moneygrab for the NFL.
Truly hope that we come out with nothing serious, injury wise.

How insignificant does this game feel after this weekends events now? All my thoughts are with the Srivaddhanaprabha family and that of Glenn Hoddles.

Strange and horrible how these types of events make you realise how stupid football and our love of it actually is, in all honesty it doesn’t mean diddly squat does it?

Obviously I Hope City do it and we win 27-0 but right now after seeing all those scenes, the press release from Leicester City FC and trying to imagine what the families are going through...I absolutely couldn’t give a hoot. Not sure why it’s affected me as much as it as, maybe I thought he was a nice fella, maybe he had a nice welcoming manner, maybe I just don’t like anyone suffering. No idea. Whatever it is, Spurs v City doesn’t matter.

I’ve seen things a lot here would curl up and shrivel away to, but I tell you this match matters to me! Of course not in the grand scheme of things.

It matters as much as any football game matters. RIP Leicester owner. By all accounts an amazing owner. Condolences to all that have been impacted by this tragedy. I still hope we rip Spuds a new one though.

Doesn’t feel any less insignificant to me.

If it wasn’t for squad size limits we could have 11 hatchet men specially for these games.
