Tottenham are better than us.

Thank goodness they have cup committments or they would leave us for dead for fourth place!

We have cup commitments too remember.

Currently Tottenham are playing better than us but they are playing to the maximum of their potential.

We have yet to play anywhere close to our potential, except perhaps against Fulham and they're not exactly a world class team.

Once our players all start playing to their potential then we will be much better than spurs... we already have more strength in depth.

Finally sussed it. When there is nothing to slag Bobby off with some turd has to start a they're better than us thread. The ensuing fallout is the usual tedious billious claptrap. Mention money and how we should be beating some teams and the usual suspects can't apologise quick enough, stating how they distance themselves from such arrogance. You can almost smell the acrid smell of burning plastic from their keyboards.
The slagging off of non City fans is met with the same apologetic fervour that can only be matched by the Australian Government when it realused it had illegally taken land from the Aboriginis.
Well to all you spologies and fans of other clubs...Fuck Off! If you don't like it leave. I make no apology for our owners wealth, just as no other club apologises when they add an extra 10,20 million to the value of a player we may be looking at.
I believe City are better than everyone. That's not based on anything other than emotion, or perhaps arrogance.

The table doesn't lie. We are better than them right now. I also agree with many posters that they have perhaps achieved close to their maximum whereas City has got a long way to go to play up to their potential on a regular basis.

Can't see Bale staying at Spurs either. He is way too good for them.

Too good for a team who are improving every year, a team who will prob top their Champions Lg group ahead of the champions, a team who have great players like King, Dawson, Modric, van der Vaart, Defoe etc? I think he fits right in and in the next few years will be rivals forthe title!

It's not going to last. Redknapp will be out of there as soon as he is offered the England job which I am convinced he will get.

Once Redknapp is gone Spurs will go back to the underachieving team that they have been the last few years.

Funny that you mention King who, admittedly is a great player but can hardly play 10 games a season because his knees are so fucked and Dawson is not all that great either.

Spuds are a top end saloon car, a BMW M5 that is running very nicely but is flat out in top gear doing the 155mph its limited to whilst we are a Bugatti Veyron that is currently being run in and hasn't been taken out of 4th gear as yet.

Wait till we are in 7th gear and the peddle is firmly being pushed in to the carpet :-)

None of those players you listed are 'great' players. People are too quick to attach labels like 'bnrilliant', 'great' and 'world class'.

If Dawson is 'great', then England must have at least 6 or 7 centre-halves who are better than 'great'. Do you honestly believe that to be the case. Let's be realistic, we haven't got one 'great' English centre-half. The same cane be said for Defoe and English strikers. The likes of Dawson and Defore are 'SKY class'. i.e. Martin Tyler / Andy Gray et al., often refers to them as 'brilliant', top drawer' etc., but in all honesty they are below average.

.........the arrogance eminating from a lot of your fans (in this thread and elsewhere) is uncalled for and unjustified.

you've won nothing in the premiership era.............

I always find this "argument" hard to accept, unless you're a fan of one of the "big four". Apart from United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea most sides have won very little, if anything, in the Premiership era. Take Spurs for example, since the Premiership began they've won 2 League Cups. Hardly earth shattering. Would I like to have won them? Yes. Do I feel it's a suitable bedding to mock the lack of success of others? No, not really. In fact, given Spurs position since 1992/93 (18 consecutive top flight seasons) and the financial support that gave them, I'd be disappointed to only have 2 League cups to show for it, Leicester City have the same level of "success" in the Prmeiership era.
