Tough start to the season compared to our rivals | December comparison (Pg10)

It was down to our total lack of finishing for me.

18 shots on goal, 7 on target, 0 goals, the result was ridiculous, theirs were 6, 3, and 2, we basically outplayed them and lost.
Sure, but I doubt many other teams have a player who can score the goal Messi did against us.

When i looked at our first dozen fixtures i came to the conclusion it was a stitch up from the Premier league but we have come through all the difficult away games with flying colours , now we need to get our act together against the park the bus teams that come to the Etihad , Palace , Saints and Burnley have all caused us problems. The solution is to take more of the many chances we make , Sterlings fall from grace means we are missing 20-25 goals a season , so we need someone to step up sooner or later or sign a penalty box predator.
I agree with you about stitch up
And so does pep with his "we did it ourselves with no help" comment at the presser

That's my point though, it really shouldn't have mattered he scored a good goal, we should have had the game won by then.

Its a common theme sadly, despite our utter dominance today we never really put the game properly to bed, because we missed too many chances again (not that they really carried much threat).

We just need to play better at home and take our chances. Right now, we are a far better road/away team. Now we need to press it home at home...

The most difficult Start to the season, that's for sure and I am sure that was not accident either. The good thing now is that we will play them all at the Etihad next. Liverpool and Chelsea. Anyway, it will be a long season and many things will change along the way. We just have to be close up there and not losing silly points will be key

A lot of people fail to see the quality and potential of this team, and in a sense it pleases me, because they'll be surprised at some point and because hype and big expectations wouldn't be helpful for the further development of the team.

Many feel about this City team like:

They are good, BUT they have no striker.
They are good, BUT they are inconsistent (Palace).
They are good, BUT not particularly special.

Etc. etc.

I don't know, they may be right. But my feeling is that this team can be very special. Haven't seen a City team go to teams like Chelsea, PSG, Liverpool and United, and dominate large parts of the games to such an extent that some of the most talented teams in the world look incredibly average.

Let game is clearly Chelsea on the 15th Jan. looking at our remaining fixtures and we can win a lot of games between now and the end of the season! (Goes without saying I know) but I would not be surprised to see 100 points.

No way are we getting 100 points after the start we’ve had.

it would mean our record in the last 27 games was W25 D2 L0.
