Losing points in easy games will be our undoing.
Very much so, Liverpool and Chelsea are showing that they have that problem too. Keep close to whoever’s top in January then hopefully we can go on a run like we did at the beginning of this year and bat everyone else out of the game.
I would not be surprised to see 100 points.
I'd be surprised. If we win all our games, we'll finish on 104 pts.
We don't need to win 100 pts to win the league. Last season, we could go to 92-94 pts, but we didn't, for we rotated the players in order to be fresh for the CL. If we get to 88 pts, we are likely to win the title.
Pep will rotate again, we'll drop some silly points, the important thing is to win the league.

No way are we getting 100 points after the start we’ve had.
it would mean our record in the last 27 games was W25 D2 L0.
look at the fixtures - we won’t be far off.

Maintain the standards we showed yesterday and we will be top in January. I hope the CP game was a wake up call. Pep actually said yesterday ‘Kevin is back’ and he was. Hopefully Grealish, Sterling and Mahrez can be reintroduced without any drop in performance Or control.Very much so, Liverpool and Chelsea are showing that they have that problem too. The leggy start to season when we looked very undercooked and players being held back against Spurs. There must be some design to it on the sport science part of things, are they being primed to kick on in the next few months?

Then you should have posted “we won’t be far off 100 points”.look at the fixtures - we won’t be far off.
I don’t need to look at the fixtures. That would be an exercise in futility with 27 games left - I know which teams are in the PL. We have to play every team at least once and eight teams twice.
Logic and experience tells me that it’s virtually impossible to win 25/27 games, drawing the other two. It’s over 70% of a season winning 92% of the games and going undefeated. We didn’t even manage that in 2017/18 or 2018/19.
Think we’ll get about 90, and that will be enough.

Surely losing to Palace makes it even more important that we win at Chelsea and united away?
It‘s always important to beat the rivals of course, but it feels we’ve rather wasted a free hits against the shit teams. Whether it’s complacency or the weaker teams just parking the bus I don’t know, but we have to find a way to swat them aside.
It was pleasing to see Chelsea struggled the same way with Burnley yesterday though.

We all look at things differently mate, but the fact remains we’re three points off the top, after an incredibly hard start, and if we’d beaten Palace and lost to Chelsea that gap would be six points.It‘s always important to beat the rivals of course, but it feels we’ve rather wasted a free hits against the shit teams. I guess what I’m getting at is it feels we can beat the good teams but often cock up against those we really should put to the sword. I get that games against Chelsea are effectively six pointers, but it feels a wasted effort doing the hard work if we then throw away points against the likes of Palace.
